What was involved in the work, the cost of service was worth it. The quality of work is the work of a professional. Some people might think it is a little higher, but you are going to pay for the professionalism that they bring to you.

Went great, but of course as with most large projects there will be some hiccups along the way but the owner Gary and office manager Julie were always available to iron out any misunderstandings, and changes we wanted were done to our satisfaction. I will say I feel the prices could be lower, but this is the second large project G&H has done for me and the job is done right in the end, which is why I came back to them despite the cost.

The workers did not waste any time, when they were there they were working and had no problem answering questions and were always courteous.

As always, they are prompt, professional and courteous.  We also use them to start and winterize our sprinkler system.
We have always been satisfied with their work.

We were charged by the man hour, and we were charge for 2 hrs for each man, therefore 4 man hours. The bill was over $200. I called and spoke to the man in charge of the service crews, I think it was Dan, and he argued with me about the time and the charge. I told him what my mother had written down and that I would pay for 1.5 man hours, but he argued that he knew how long his men were there, even though he was not with them. I asked him how he knew it, and he said they logged the info into a log book by hand. I said what is to keep them from putting down 2 hrs each and then go have a long lunch for the extra time, and he said his men didn't do that. I told him my mother was a former secretary who believes in documentation, and she documented the time they were there working, and he didn't care. I received a bill for the 4 man hours, and called again, and this guy would not budge or consider a compromise. I sent them the money for 1.5 man hours with a note that we would not be paying anymore and why, and that we would not be using them anymore as well as telling others of the problems we had with them. Still, after that, no phone call from a higher manager or owner, no return letter, nothing. I think they just dropped it. I would not advise anyone to do business with them, mostly because the manager is not a good manager or supervisor at all. The owner is also out of touch with what this guy is doing or else he doesn't care, because we did not hear from him about a resolution or a compromise either.

I have been satisfied with them. They've been very good and helpful. And if I had problems or anything I have enrolled in their newsletter, so if things come up - like, this past summer it has been so hot and everything, their monthly newsletter addressed those issues and advised not to worry about these things and that the lawn will come back.

Lead sprinkler installer was moaning and lying in my yard throughout the two-day installation and when I inquired to the nature of his distress, he told me his back was sore. I felt bad for him and tipped him and his assistant a good sum -- a big mistake I learned later after completion.
After installation, my yard looked like a mine field. There were sink holes and dirt spots throughout my yard. The owner and GM came to inspect and commented it was not a typicall install and had their workers repair the holes with top soil. Of course, grass did not grow in some areas until the fall due to the summer sun and we had to look at dirt spots all year and then reseed in the fall.
A few weeks after installation, I noticed a pipe was sticking up in our septic leach field. The installers hit the pipe with their install equipment and it appeared they tried to cover it up with dirt, leaving a sharp piece of pipe sticking up that would have resulted in a serious wound if a child was to fell on it. The GM sent up some workers to fix it and when my wife went out of the house to see what they were doing, they were attempting to saw the pipe off, which would have likely impaired our leach field. My wife asked them to stop as we thought a professional septic person should be called. One of the men yelled at my wife and totally disregarded her request. She felt threatened and almost elected to call the Police to have them leave the property. She called the company and the company had them leave. Upon our request, the GM finally did send a qualified septic professional to repair the pipe properly.
Several months after this issue we noticed another septic pipe was broken, likely hit with their equipement. The GM game up and inspected it before and after in was dug up and repaired. The GM looked me in the eye, told me they were a good company and his compnay would reimburse me the repair cost. After more hassell, the owner sent me a letter saying it was not their fault and they would not pay. It was likely their fault since they were the only ones working in that area with equipment that could slice a pipe in half and the sprinkler line crossed right above the pipe.
Latest issue is possibly a leaky sprinkler valve, which we will be paying someone else to fix since we have severed all ties with Gand H. They were willing to extend warranty service another year for two years total, but I have no confidence in them and think they would destroy something else.
Overall the sprinkler system works well, but it was an aggravating and disappointing ordeal. Our experience with Gand H Landscaping was deplorable and I would never recommend them to anyone. In fact, I am surprised them manage to stay in business.

When he first showed up, he apologized for being 2 minutes early and took a look at my yard. This morning he sent two employees to start treating my yard with pesticide so we can have a fresh start reseeding it in the next few weeks. They were both extremely pleasant and very prompt. I know it's early, but I'm very excited about what the future holds.

They were servicing the sprinkler system when we bought the house and we just continued with them. It has been a pretty good experience.

They come out to winterize and flush out the system before the winter and they also come out to start it up and do any repairs that are necessary. They were here about 1 1/2 hours the last time because winter came early.them.

Not well. Overall I was unhappy. They used inferior materials and when I asked about it, they dismissed them as "what their suppliers gave them. Specifically, they used timbers that were cracked and/or split. They blamed their bad cutting on me and my lawnmower! The loam they used was absolutely full of gravel. It was more gravel than dirt. They said that's what their supplier was providing. To their credit they did reseed once to try and get the grass to grow in the gravel, but that didn't really work. They also would only guarantee their work (that the lawn would grow) if I signed up for a lawn care program with them (at very hefty price). My two biggest complaints are that they used inferior materials, and that when their employees made mistakes they would not acknowledge it. I felt that they gave my complaints "lip service" and never really worked to resolve the issue (or replace the defective timbers or cover the gravel with topsoil).
