They have been excellent. They do a very complete evaluation of what needs to be done. The owner is Rolf and he is great to work with. He is very friendly and listens very well. Sometimes you have to wait for them to be available. They are reliable, dependable, knowledgeable, and they clean up when they are done. We would highly recommend them and we would definitely hire them again.

I probably should have known better. From the very beginning Rolf was arrogant and unpleasant. We asked Tree Specialists to provide a quote for trimming the other half of a trim they were trimming for a neighbor, and removal of a tree that fell in our yard. They aggressively suggested additional work to a half dozen other trees, warning us those trees were certain to fall without their services. I've spoken to two additional tree companies at this point, neither of whom thought the additional work was necessary at all. Then, when removing the fallen tree they badly gauged my lawn and badly loosened a dead tree that had been firmly rooted and holding my hammock. When I called to complain they said they would fix things. They dropped 5 dollars worth of grass seed and walked away. When I called to say that was inadequate Rolf rudely told me that he was an expert and that my grass would grow perfectly from this "treatment". When pressed he admitted it would grow fine so long as I watered it once or twice daily! His solution to tearing up my lawn was to hand me a handful of seed and tell me to plant and water it. He was also incredibly rude and condescending. Between the upselling, the poor quality of the work, and the rudeness I wouldn't recommend this outfit to anyone under any circumstances. Life is too short to work with unpleasant people.

It was all well done, The price was competitive.

Very well. Suggestions of trimming, cabling, removing were put into understandable estimate. I hired them!

Great, start to finish.

Rolf walked the grounds with me - very educational! - and explained what needed pruning, thinning, shaping, even cable re-enforcing. He provided a prompt estimate with drawings. I signed a contract via email and the work was quickly scheduled (to be done in 2 parts depending on growing season) and performed perfectly. There were 124 trees in this job and they had not been attended to for 5 years!

I've been using them for a long time.

We have many beautiful ornamental trees in our yard that had not been professionally maintained in quite a few years. I felt it was important to hire an arborist - not a landscaper - to evaluate their health and bring them back to their full beauty. Rolf walked the property and we discussed what I wanted to accomplish. He also pointed out several things I hadn't noticed or thought of. Rolf's knowledge and expertise were immediately apparent. I was concerned that adding the additional work would force me to split the work into "must have" to be done now and "nice to have" that would be done later, but his estimate was very reasonable so everything was scheduled at once. The crew was very professional and knowledgeable and did a fantastic job from start to finish. I will definitely use Tree Specialists again and highly recommend them.

We had a large tree down in our yard after a Friday storm. We called Rolf on Saturday and he came by the same day to see the tree. While there he also walked our property and advised us on the care of the other trees on the property. We did not need to tree removed the same day. It had not landed on the house, and we had access to our driveway, so clean up was scheduled for the following Monday. The crew arrived by 8 o'clock Monday morning. They cleaned up the fallen tree and cut down the remaining portion of the tree that was still standing. The crew was courteous, professional and hard working. The work was done in a few hours and the site was well cleaned up. We plan to continue to use Tree Specialists to help with the ongoing care of our trees as wells as removal of a few additional trees that are in ill health.

Rolf, the owner, is a certified arborist who is very knowledgeable about trees and plants and articulates his knowledge well.

He has taken a liking to my old (250-300 yr. old) white oak tree and is vigilant about calling every year to suggest ways to keep my trees healthy.

He is an arborist and really educated us about the trees and vegetation on our property.  We then sat down and made a long term plan that will we will be able to do over time within our budget.  By design they leave the good things on your property so that everything works together.

When we bought our home, we knew the large maple tree in the back corner of the yard needed 'work' so we call Tree Specialists at our neighbor's suggestion.  Rolf Briggs came out to do the assessment and walked us through his recommendations and answered all of our questions.  The location of the tree required that the crew needed access to 3 of our neighbors yards so the office staff gave us plenty of notice when scheduling the appointment.  The day of the trimming/cabling, the crew (Tim and Dan) showed up on time, carefully assessed the logistics and set about the task of correcting 40 years of neglect.  Tim and Dan obviously knew their business and did a beautiful job at trimming the tree as well as removing all traces of their work from all of the yards involved in the process.  When it was all said and done, the tree looked healthy and vital and it's a relief to have the branches away from the house - especially with winter coming.  In all of my encounters, from the owner to the office staff to the field crew, these folks know what they are doing and have a genuine affinity for the services they provide.

I've worked with them for quite a few years, and they are pros at what they do! They're great at their clean up and I'd highly recommend their quality work.

The folks at Tree Specialists came with professional expertise and equipment exactly on time and lived up to all their promises. They sized their crew to the job so the work was done on time. When done, the clean-up was total. I wont hesitate to use them again.

They are a little pricey for bringing down an old tree, but they are very good and very professional. We have used them for several years. They are tree arborists and when you have some flowering trees, you want the work done by a professional. They did a good job, and they will prune again this winter, because of the growth. They are professional, I trust them and the fellow who runs it, is a well trained arborist. They do work around town and they are a known entity. Somebody comes out to look at what you are inquiring about within a short time of you calling them.
