Nicholson HVAC a fantastic highly professional company to work with, original sale rep Mike Pitner has stayed in touch, been a great resource and terrific to deal with, the install team were fast, efficient and neat, finally, Amy Boulter our install coordinator has been sensational...helpful with questions on maintenance, a helpful conduit to MassSave but most impressive, she gets back to the customer timely, always pleasant and she does exactly what she says...........Amy is highly professional, customer focused. a gem! Nicholson installed a furnace and central air conditioner in my home. Here is a list of the problems with the system Nicholson installed that I corrected by myself: * Two of the thermostats were wired to control the wrong zones on the zone controller * One of the zone dampers was wired incorrectly so that it could not close * The humidifier was wired incorrectly, and only turned on when the third zone was on instead of when the furnace was on * The zone controller was improperly configured so that the furnace and air conditioner could not switch into stage 2 when needed (this was a huge problem because the system could not supply enough heat in winter or enough cooling in summer). * The system was unable to supply enough airflow to the second floor of my house The system is unable to maintain the temperature and humidity in my house at a comfortable temperature. A Nicholson employee visited my house and said he suspected the system is too small for the house. He promised to “check on something” back at the office and let me know what he learned. I never heard from him again. Every time I tried to follow up with him, I was told he was unreachable because he was “in the field.” I called Nicholson repeatedly for help. They often didn’t return my calls. A couple of times they sent technicians out who offered various reasons for why the system wasn’t providing enough cooling, but they never succeeded in fixing the problem. Desperate for help, I contacted other HVAC contractors, all of whom agreed the system is too small.

The tech that came to service the units was Will Richard. He was very professional, pleasant and explained everything well. He did a very good job and also replaced one of my light bulbs that was about to go out. He cleaned up behind himself and put everything back in place to where it belonged. Very reasonable prices too as compared to others. Will definitely use them for any future projects.

We have contacted Nicholson twice for plumbing repairs and the technicians who came recently to do the repairs, Brian and Mike, were very professional, knowledgeable and patient throughout the process. They both worked together to fix the issues and complete all the repairs on the same day of the appointment. It shows that they are responsible and work with the customer to assist them and troubleshoot the issues. They are dependable and experienced and I would highly recommend them and request their services in the future.

I guess everyone in this list reviewing these guys has all the money in the world, or just I ended up being targeted to be bilked by Nicholson...I've come to find out with getting similar work done in my new home by other contractors that they charged INSANE prices for my hot water tank replacement (and let's not forget about pushing those protection plans!), and for subsequent trips I feel like they have just started training their staff to try and get the maximum amount of money possible from every visit. I get that when you do an emergency fix things are going to be pricey but I feel downright taken advantage of by these guys. They respond fast, sure, but you're going to pay through the nose.

Fast, clean and works!!

Frances looked at our 20 year old furnace that needed to be replaced. He walked us through the different furnaces that we could replace with our 20 year old furnace that needed to be replaced. He was very professional explaining the different furnaces and my husband and I settled on a furnace which will be installed on Wednesday. Nicholson Pluming is fortunate to have Frances as a employee.

He was able to temporarily get system to run; but need new parts.

Mike was very professional and within 45 minutes had taken apart the condenser, made repairs and thoroughly tested all of the heating cooling heads before he left. Thank you for the great job Mike!

Excelkent service and Joe was great!

Wayne was professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. He completed the project a day earlier than estimated, was on time, and worked well with his younger apprentice and the electrician. He took time to explain the system to us and clean up after the project. He also didn't mind our pets.

Paul did an excellent job and worked in a clean professional manner. I definitely would hire Nicholson Plumbing again.

Excellent, technician actually listened to the home owner’s diagnosis, which facilitated a rapid repair. Office was very responsive, excellent customer service on a weekend.

Evaluation of the situation was done prior to the work being done. This was completed to my satisfaction. The replacement was then done to my complete satisfaction. The workmanship was through and neatly done. The cleanup was through. Overall, I felt like I was working with a talented and through technician and skilled worker.
