Having heard that this survey engineering company did a lot of work in my town, I contacted them to get an estimate for staking the property lines for my recently purchased home. I spoke with Joyce, who was very cordial over the phone, and she told me that she would have an estimate for me by the end of that day (a Tuesday) or the beginning of the next. After not hearing anything, I called Thursday morning to inquire as to the status of the estimate and was told by Joyce that she was sorry, they had been busy but that as soon as she got out of her morning meeting she'd have something to me by noon. At 2:30 pm, not having received anything, I called back and spoke with the receptionist since Joyce wasn't available. I expressed my frustration at the lack of response from Joyce. The receptionist responded as if my irritation was odd but assured me she'd pass along that I was waiting on an estimate. I called the following day and Joyce was not available so I left another message asking her to call. I never heard back. I called once the following week just leaving my name. No call back. I just called now, two weeks later, and spoke with the receptionist to see who Joyce's boss was. It turns out Joyce is the owner! I asked the receptionist if the company didn't care that they had treated a potential customer shabbily given that I would let anyone know about my experience with them and was told, quite pleasantly since she didn't seem to know the circumstances of why I hadn't been called back, "Well, if that's been your experience, perhaps you wouldn't be happy having us do work for you." I would recommend against using this company.
