Angel Ortiz

We are newer homeowners and had tried to remove the shrubs ourselves and after hours of work, we had barely made any progress. We called Angel and he came over to provide a quote and we scheduled the work. He and his employee arrived promptly and removed all the plants quickly and with ease. And not only did he remove the plants, but he made sure to also remove the roots that had grown very deeply into the ground. I was so impressed with their efficiency and thoroughness. After completing the removal, he also took care of disposing of the plants and cleaned up the ground where the plants had been. It looked fantastic, thank you Angel!

Over the past two years we asked for bids on leveling our upheaved patio stones, replacing our fence, and repairing our porch, only to have the job deemed too small for Wellesley contractors. We were thrilled when Angel Ortiz, a friend of almost a decade, agreed to undertake these projects as he begins his own handyman business.  We have never seen anyone work with such energy, skill, and joy. A master woodworker and designer of model boats, Angel created a fence we consider a solid work of art, every detail given thought and polish, a beautiful design element for our antique farmhouse.  His years of hardscaping and landscaping have given him excellent stone-working skills and he ably assessed the drainage needs of our yard.  He is now in the process of installing the dry wells and connecting the gutter. We are also hiring him to replace our porch steps in the front and back of the house.  
He has also provided interior carpentry services  for an apartment we own in Boston when the condo association required custom molding to be altered for access to a common element.  He was able to provide accessibility without sacrificing the decor.
We highly recommend Angel Ortiz.  He is a delight to work with, respectful and humble, and as noted above, passionate about hard work and beautiful results.
