WELL BUILT CUSTOM HOMES

Deadline given at time of hire was April 1. As of April 10, only about 2/3 of the work was complete. Contractor almost never cleaned up his mess (in the home or in the yard). He was very difficult to talk to (very defensive) and often very hard to get in touch with (his cell phone voice mailbox was full for quite a while). He was so difficult to communicate with that we finally asked him to leave, even though we had paid him 95% of his total fee. We also discovered, the day after the contractor had left, that the window which we had purchased and he had installed was not installed properly, and that the casing was cracked. We discovered this during a heavy rainstorm, during which water started steadily dripping from the window casing causing pooling on the kitchen floor and on my brand-new partially-installed cabinets.
