Kelcey Morange, Loan Officer

This review is 3 months overdue! Cannot say enough about how great it was to work with Kelcey Morange at Mortgage Master, Inc in Walpole as we searched, made offers, and eventually found, purchased, and financed our first home in a beautiful north shore town in Massachusetts. We initially contacted Kelcey for a preapproval letter as we began our search in fall 2012. By the time we closed on our new home, we were 8 months, 5 offers (three accepted) and 4 inspections out. Two homes had fallen through on inspection. On the phone Kelcey was always patient and friendly, very down to earth, and matter of fact in the face of panic, and it was obvious she enjoyed explaining the ins and outs of the home search and mortgage process. She is an enthusiastic teacher of the home purchase process. She provided revised preapproval letters for all offers we made without delay, and answers to the myriad questions that arose through all the transactions. To say she responded promptly would be an understatement. Despite working with a very large number of loan clients, Kelcey never failed to provide detailed and quick replies to the 45+ emails she received from me. And these were in the months BEFORE we had even committed to using Mortgage Master as our mortgage company. I counted around 100 emails by closing. She replied to questions that I threw at her involving inspection, appraisal and even insurance issues, well beyond the scope of loan matters, and she answered with clear experience and knowledge of the local real estate market. She never rushed me off the phone or made me remember that she had other clients to attend to. She was so generous with her time and information, I felt at times I was chatting with a friend in the real estate business.  



When we were ready to compare rates, Kelcey's rate matched the lowest of the estimates we received and she ultimately came in with the lowest total cost of the loan. She explained every charge in detail. No mysterious or vaguely named charges were on her GFE as on a couple of other estimates. Frankly, although the differences among all the loan offers were slight (as will happen if you shop reliable and recommended brokers), Kelcey had earned our trust and our business long before we finished the P&S and began our formal loan search. When her offer came in, we were relieved to be able to confidently accept hers, knowing that her superb customer service had also culminated in a great deal for us. She also went to bat for us with the underwriter as we raced to meet the offer deadline. She then helped us complete the mortgage process which was quick and was finished long before our closing date. There was little for us to do once the application was in. The process was exceptionally smooth in her hands because she had taken the time to prepare me during the previous months of house-hunting. She already had most of what she needed from us by the time we applied officially, and there were no surprises at the end. Dedicated customer service. The icing on the cake is that Kelcey contributes a portion of her commission to a local project in your new community.  Who does that?!!  I really believe you cannot find a better loan officer or person to be by your side when purchasing your first or tenth home than Kelcey Morange at Mortgage Master, Inc, in Walpole.
