I had got a number of quotes from various contractors in the area before I decided to hire Rick and his crew to do the job. The job was to rebuild and extend a wooden walkway and build a deck behind the kitchen with stairs leading to the patio below. Choicedek composite was used for the floor.
The quotes I received were between $3500 to $25000. Rick's quote was elaborate and fair. What inspired me to hire Rick was he was detail oriented and thought of things that had an impact on the project no other contractor had brought to my attention.
Since the deck was within 100 feet of conservation land, Rick had to work with town conservation dept to get the project approved.
The only issue I had was, the project took a while to complete as it was not worked on continuously. But, I would still hire Rick any day as what he did when he did it was super high quality work. Many people have since then stopped by and every one of them comment about the high quality of his work.
At the end of the job, I am left with a very nice solid deck and I am very happy this project was completed well and to my satisfaction.

I hired RD Construction to install tile in my kitchen and remodel my horrendous pink tiled bathroom. Rick did a great job installing my kitchen tile and did it in a timely manner. I also had him rip out all of the pink tile in my bathroom (which was everywhere! - pink tub, walls, etc.). He installed a new tub surround and replaced the tile on the walls with bead-board wainscoting. His work came out beautifully. His carpenter who cut all the moldings did a great job. My bathroom came out better than what I expected. My only complaint is that my bathroom remodel took forever. Rick told me he could have it done in a matter of 2 weeks at most. It took them about 2 months to complete, and this was not because they were slow workers. Their visits were very spaced out. Sometimes not calling me for weeks to make another appointment to come to my house. They had my bathroom completed in about 3 visits, this shouldn't of taken him 2 months. I think he worked on my house in the small amount of spare time that he and his crew had. He never gave me exact days or times he would be working on my house. I was always just waiting on a call to come in from him. Let me also mention that I was waiting for this to be done so I could move into my house. It became very aggravating towards the end. If it were not for this factor, I would of given them A's across the board.

Job only took 4 hrs and was done correctly and clean up was also done well.

Showed up on time, and completed job earlier than anticipated.Cleaned up surrounding area well.
Quality of work was good.I asked for an invoice of work completed, so I could pay bill, and have not received invoice as of 11/17/11.Spoke to Mr. Carter on 11/11/11 and he said he would get one out asap.Still waiting.Was told bill will be as quoted for job.

He did a great job! It only took two days. He met with me. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted and he gave me several options and suggested using a Sterling brand tub/shower. He clearly has a lot of experience with the product and with bathroom remodels. I was very pleased with the finished product. He was honest and friendly. I can highly recommend him.

Very professional. Was punctual from estimate through completion. Did a great job, cleaned up after himself every day. "No muss, no fuss, no bother."
