Patriot Tree

A wind storm came through Danvers and it uprooted large trees. I lost several large trees in my back yard. Within a day, tree companies were leaving cards and stopping by to give estimates on tree removal. I got approximately 5 estimates. I called one of the phone numbers on the business card left by Patriot Tree and finally got through to one of the two principals of the company (Peter). We arranged a time to meet and I showed him the work that needed to be performed. The work necessitated removal two large downed trees as well as one large and one really large root ball since they were ripped out of the ground. The price quoted was much less than the competitors, so I asked Peter if they were insured and he indicated that they were. I said I'd be in touch once I knew what would be covered by my homeowner's insurance. I called a few days later and got voicemail. I told them that they could do the job and that if they'd provide me with a copy of the insurance certificate, we could get moving. They never called back and I have moved on to another tree company. If this was a communication mistake, it's unfortunate because I wanted to hire them. If they don't have insurance, I can't take the chance.
