Little Mower Shop

I hired Bob Adams last year to service and fix blades on my ride on. Upon driving it once i noticed it was overheating. I immediately checked oil, none in reservoir. I immediately called and he tried blaming me in which i laughed. He eventually had to rebuild top end. Due to me being a good person i paid cash for parts but wasn’t paying for labor. I called him this year to fix pto clutch and he said he didn’t come because i owed him 150 for a top end rebuild last year. I called shop trying to figure it out rescheduling as well. Figured id give another opportunity to fix this issue but his lack of professionalism is why im done with this company. He serviced my machine and completed but this was simply his fault. Do not hire this company!!

I have used Little Mower Shop twice, once for tuning up my lawn tractor in the spring of 2018 and once for tuning up my snowblower in the fall of 2018. I was pleased with the work and price both times. I will definitely use again.

The person arrived to do the tune up within the specified time. I arrived and came up to greet him. I said how's it going and he didn't answer. After a long awkward pause, I asked if he needed anything. He asked when the last time it ran and I told him. He responded with "thanks." and that was it. At the end, I asked how it went. He said terrible and that I needed to clean my deck more often. Ok, I have had a lot of personal stuff going on so it slipped my mind at the end of the fall. The problem I have was the fact that he didn't even tell me what he did. I later discovered that he replaced the blades and I saw him replace the oil. Other than that, I don't know what he did. He was beyond rude and unprofessional. Don't hire this company.

Bob told me to get a new mower old mower was going too much to fix. Never charged me and drove all the way from Haverhill to Beverly. He is a gem and a nice guy!!!!

Perfect job

So I hired these guys to come out and take a look. They were pretty responsive and they were able to come out in a few days. He got here on time. Nice guy. Took him less than an hour and he got it going. Still sounded a little off but it was running. $85 for new gaskets and a "carb service". So I paid him and off he went. I went to start it later that day and it sounded terrible. 10 mins in and it kicked out and I haven't been able to start it since. Completely useless service. I decided to order a new carb and ended up replacing myself once I finally found the time. $25 and it sounds like a new lawn mower. I thought I'd save some time and aggravation using a lawn mower service, but I really ended up just wasting $85. I won't use them again.

Bob fixed it within an hour. It's still running great, weeks later.

Excellent service

My ride on had a blown head gasket and I really needed it fixed due to the acre of land that needed mowing. Little mower shop came replaced the gasket tested the mower , the gasket blew a second time. He came back found the first replacement was defective and replaced it a second time. And gave the mower a tune up. Now the mower works like new. I would definitely use them again. I highly recommend little mower shop. Prompt courteous service, reasonable prices.

He arrived on time and was very efficient and had the tune up done fairly quickly. Would definitely use Little Mower Shop again.

Writing this review for my in-laws who hired Bob on my recommendation based on his Angie's List reviews. In-laws were worried about getting their riding lawn mower started and tuned up for the season, how to get it to a service shop . . . during the spring rush season, etc. Bob's Little Mower Shop was the perfect solution! Bob promptly returned their initial call, clearly explained what was involved with a standard mower tune-up and the cost. He also outlined some of the common "extras" that he might encounter (belts, etc.) and the associated cost. And best of all, Bob set up an appointment in 2 days time to be at their home to complete the work. 2 days later Bob showed up as expected. He quickly completed the tune-up and did not need to do any "extra" work once he was there. Total charges were just he basic tune-up he had initially quoted. I can't recommend Bob more highly for anyone who needs to get their lawn equipment serviced without the hassle of getting it hauled off to a service center.

After a very untimely breakdown of my snowblower during a blizzard, I was concerned I wouldn't be able to get it fixed quickly as another storm was coming right behind it. I had used Little Mower Shop in the past for a tuneup, so they were my first call for help. Being 8pm during a storm I was expecting to leave a voicemail, but to my surprise my call was answered immediately. I was initially given a 1-week window for a repair appointment (understandable considering the volume of repair requests during a snowstorm), but the next morning I was shocked to receive a call asking if Bob could come that morning! Needless to say I accepted the earlier appointment. Bob came on time and had my snowblower back to running 100% in less than an hour...he even saved me some money in the process! Work was done perfectly! Bob was a true professional. I will be calling on Little Mower shop again soon to get my snowblower ready for summer storage and highly suggest giving them a call.

My snowblower needed an overhaul, (oil change, cable adjustment, etc...). I booked an October 2016 date with Lisa in the late spring of 2016 knowing I would need the work done before the winter. Service man showed up on time. Worked on my snow blower in the driveway. He was prepard, neat and left no evidence of the job. It is now February 2017 and we are having a boat load of snow. My unit is still working fine with no issues. Would definitely hire again in the future.

Excellent job!! Arrived on-time and did a great job!

Bob  was at my house at the time promised.  He did a great job getting my riding mower operational again.
The cost was less than it would have been for me to take it a local repair facility and saved me the time of getting the mower
to a repair center and having to pick it up after it had been fixed or alternatively paying for pick up and delivery .

Bob and his staff were awesome!  They showed up right on time, dove right in, and had my sorely-neglected lawn mower running perfectly within a few hours, even though they basically had to rebuild the carburetor.  After a horrible experience with Sears the first year after we bought the mower, which resulted in us packing it into the shed and ignoring it for far too long and paying for a service to mow for us, this whole experience felt like a dream come true.  Our mower now starts up with the first pull!  Right in time for the big Fourth of July party that we're hosting, I'll be able to get the lawn looking more like Massachusetts and less like Isla Nublar.
