Eric responded to our initial call promptly and came over to give an estimate soon after...
His estimate included all of the work requested in detail, and reviewed options on work that he was not sure he had parts available.
He explained why he preferred certain parts as part of the process leading to the estimate, and when the work took longer than he thought, he explained what had happened and returned promptly to finish the work.
The work was done quickly, with questions responded to in detail at the time.   Very pleasant experience .

I called Hot and Cold plumbing for a leaky toilet. They promptly returned my call and we set up a day for Eric to come out and look at the job. He called about 30 min before he was due to tell me he would be late. Which was fine and I really appreciated that he called to tell me!  He came and we discussed the job in detail, he explained to me a couple of different things it could be and he told me he would send me a quote by Sunday. On Sunday my qoute arrived as promised . I called the next day and we set up an appointment for a few days later for him to come and do the work.
Eric arrived promptly and went right to work . He explained everything he was doing was neat and very professional. Unfortunately at the end of him removing the toilet, cleaning the area, replacing the wax ring, installing and extension after waiting for an alloted amount of time he told me that it was still leaking and I would need someone to come in to possibly do my floor as the flange was sitting below the floor. At this time I of course was disappointed that it would not be fixed but it had  nothing to do with him or his work. In fact he then told me he was not going to charge me anything because he did not fix the issue. I tried to at least pay him for his time ( 2 hours) and still he refused any money. I felt bad because he had spent so much time but I do have a couple other things for him to do for me and I would definitely hire him again, and in fact am calling him soon. He was clean, neat , professional. I would highly reccomend him for any plumbing you may need.

Eric showed up promptly when scheduled and worked diligently until the project was completed.  The job was more complex and took longer than he originally estimated, as there was some hidden damage that wasn't visible when he provided the estimate.  Even though the job turned out to be more complex and took longer, he stood by his original price.  Very honest and guaranteed his work.

we had a leak under the tub and spontaneously decided to remodel our upstairs bathroom, which was needed anyway. Eric gave us an estimate on the job, which was accurate. He was on time, always professional and clearly explained what he was doing and why, always properly setting expectations. It was clearly important to him that the job was done right and that we were satisfied with the work. he went well beyond what we'd expected including going to home depot to get insulation and drywall. The work area was kept almost spotless, which was greatly appreciated. overall, a great experience and we highly recommend his services.

I couldn't be happier with the service I received.  Eric was prompt and professional at every stage of the job.  Our old pump conked out during Hurricane Sandy, yet he responded promptly to my phone call.  He came out to give an estimate the next day.  I never felt oversold, and his price came in lower for the same work than the other people who gave estimates.  He made sure I understood what he was doing and that I understood the pump's operation.  He also tidied up after the job was done.  We just got the new pump, so it's still early days, but I'm confident that Eric will answer questions if any arise.

We have now used services provided by Hot and Cold Plumbing and Heating twice, not to mention Eric dropping by again to show me the pressure readings for my water and discussing the repurcusions of high water pressure in our home. While he pointed out the issue which I was unaware, he was spot on with the diagnosis and resolve not to mention inviting second opinions...the high pressure did not roll over into sales, thank you;^)
On all contact with Eric, phone calls were returned promptly and his ability to work with my schedule was great! He showed up exactly as planned and worked in an effecient and determined manner, effectively completing the requested work. A very nice guy to deal with and he was very consciensious about cleanup and assuring all work was done above expectations.
We assuredly now have our "go-to" plumber for all our upcoming needs. Next on the list may be a tuneup for our heating system!

I have several contractors out to look at my job that included the replacement of my utility sink pump, re-piping some code issues, and the replacement of my hot water heater. It was a while ago that I used this service.  (Just realized that I didn't submit a report.)  I don't remember the exact date of the service or the the exact price.  But I do remember the service.

We had a stopped up toilet that we had tried repeatedly and unsuccessfully to clear.  He came out that afternoon and cleared the clog.  When he arrived he offered to put on shoe covers. He explained everything that he would be doing and possible limitations of his equipment and gave me a price for the service.  He gave me the option of risking having to call someone else out or having him give it a try.  I had him try.  He made sure he knew where the water shut-off was and went to work.  He was very conscientious of protecting my bathroom floor, walls, rugs etc.  He was able to clear the clog and flushed toilet paper down several times to make sure that it would stay unclogged.  He cleaned up the area where he had been working and returned rugs, etc. to their original positions.  He answered some of my questions about other plumbing issues and gave me a rough estimate of what it would cost to have the work done at a later date.  He mailed me a precise estimate the next day.

Eric was prompt to reply to the initial phone call and to schedule service. He is extremely courteous and professional. We were particularly impressed how conscientious he was and how he cleaned up after himself. The quality of work is excellent. The final execution and price were exactly as a he described during is initial visit. We recommend Hot & Cold Plumping and will use his services in future.
