I couldn't have asked for better service. Work was scheduled at my convenience and he was prompt, professional, friendly and got the job done quickly and at a reasonable price.

I tried searching Angie's List for a locksmith and got and quot;no locksmiths listedand quot; in my area as a result. Then I tried
and quot;Handymenand quot; category, requesting someone to repair front door lock within 1, and then 5, miles and again got no results in my area. Finally, I tried the Yellow Pages book. New England Lock and Key were on vacation according to their answering machine, so I called a number on Scarsdale Rd. in Dennis. That turned out to be a and quot;Mobile unit???and quot; . A man with a heavy accent that sounded Pakistani answered and said he had no one for my zip code and promptly hung up. What's up with that?
Next I called Winslow Lock and Key in Harwich and talked with Jeff Winslow. I explained my problem and asked if he would do a house call in South Dennis. He said yes, and I gave him directions. He said he'd be there in 25 to 30 minutes---and he arrived in 22 minutes.
The problem was this--- I agreed to feed my next door neighbor's cat ( as I've done before when they are out of town) and I have a key to their front door. They left early this same morning and planned to be gone over the weekend I got a call about noon asking me to retrieve some personal information from the house and call them back. I had no trouble getting in, brought what they needed back to my house to call them, and then went back next door to return the items. I couldn't open the front door.
The thumb latch was loose, the whole assembly wiggled, and I couldn't make it work.
When Jeff checked it out, he said he might ruin the lock trying to open it from the outside, so instead, he tried to open the side door. None of my keys worked, although one fit in the lock, it wouldn't open the door. ---no luck. I looked for another way in and it turned out the bulkhead was open. Jeff managed to open the lock on the door to the basement ( protected from the weather by the bulkhead and easy to dismantle) and then he repaired the front door from inside the house. A spring had broken and he said the whole thing had been loose for a long time. He had a new spring in his truck and put that in place, but one of the support pins was really worn and and quot;could go at any time. So we decided it would be safer, since this was the only door to which I had a key, to take off the inside latch assembly (? hasp-- that goes into the door frame) until my neighbors returned. The door would look the same from the outside, but only the deadbolt secured the door. That worked just fine for the 4 days they were gone. My neighbor said the inside knob had fallen off that morning, just as they were leaving, and he put it back in place. He admitted they had had problems with it for a long time.
I paid the bill and my neighbors settled with me when they came home. All's well that ends well.
I 'd hire Jeff Winslow again, without hesitation, and recommend him and his service. Thank you, Jeff!

Jeff was awesome. He was on time, friendly and a delight to have in my home. He rekeyed 4 doors and found that I didn't need to replace the entire unit them which saved me money. He fixed a loose screw on my storm door just because he saw that it was broken. Jeff introduced me to Tri-flo (a lubricant better than WD-40 for locks) when he unclogged the lock on our shed. I highly recommend Winslow Lock and Key and would use this business again.

Jeff Winslow was a pleasure to work with. A++++ Very reasonable price wise and did an exceptional job. Went above and beyond to fix little things and was spotless. Wish I had more work for him. Would gladly use him again.

Requested dead bolt locks and new door knobs on three (3) outside doors. Stated that they would be at my home the next day at 9:00 a.m. Arrived the next day a few minutes before 9:00 a.m. Assessed the job request and gave an very reasonable price. Work was done efficiently and within a reasonable amount of time. Mr. Winslow was very thorough and completely cleaned up the area he was working in. He also provided extra keys which he configured in his truck. Overall a extremely positive experience. I would definitely use Mr. Winslow's services in the future.
