Metal Roofing - Install or Replace
While insulating, foam sprayed through cracks into our bedroom and closets, destroying some bed linens and clothing. Their truck left before the insulation spaces were full, but they closed up the roof. It doesn?t meet building code.
Our roof is featured on the Muto website, but not the scratches in the protective coating meant to ensure roof longevity. The scratches were made by a crew installing the ridge boards and chimney flashing. Their most experienced roofer said this was his first time installing metal chimney flashing.
We called Muto 3 months ago and Jasen sent a drone over the house and said he?d ask the manufacturer and get back to us. We?ve sent two reminders, but we have heard nothing. We should have realized their inexperience at the outset when they couldn?t provide photos of completed metal roofs.
We cannot recommend them for metal roofs or insulation.

I truly can't say enough about my roofing experience with Muto Construction - exceptional from start to finish! From the specs/pricing of the job, to the actual work, to interactions with the office - every point of contact was extremely professional and prompt. Owner Jasen Muto understands what the customer is trying to achieve, and has a great way of explaining technical things. He values quality and customer service, and instills that in his teams. I can't say enough about the workmen themselves. Polite, respectful, and worked their butts off. The project was finished in much less time than estimated, and looked fantastic. Clean up was great. An added feature that I really appreciated was a Project Manager came during the work and after to make sure everything was going well and I was satisfied. I already have plans for another project with Muto Construction in the near future, and have raved about them to friends/neighbors.

MUTO was highly responsive, very professional and an excellent value. Our gutters were in terrible shape and they worked diligently to repair them. They even employed a drone to confirm that all had been done correctly. I highly recommend them.

Super responsive, the roofing crew was outstanding. I would not hesitate to hire Muto Construction again. Extremely efficient, respectful of us and our property. Other than the new roof on the house, you would not know that they were here. Clean! Wasted no time , completed the entire project in 2 days!! Received a QC follow up call from Jasen Muto. We are in No Falmouth and he was in Hyannis with intent to visit the site. I am so pleased with the completed job I told him that there was not need to visit, I am 100% satisfied. Would highly recommend Muto for your project.

Wood Shake or Composite Roofing Installation and Replacement
I recognized this past fall that my cedar shake roof needed to be replaced. After getting input for the replacement roof options and quotes from five different roofing companies I selected Muto Construction. We selected the Cedur type artificial shake roof and contracted the work agreement. Pricing was right in line with other quotes. Muto showed up on the very day that was scheduled months in advance and finished the work ahead of schedule. All the employees were very professional, courteous and friendly, and I was amazed at the work ethic in the way they accomplished their work. They went out of the way to ensure I was satisfied with the end result and conscientious with the cleanup. The roof looks great and I highly recommend this company to all others.

Fantastic company to work with. I had an asphalt roof on my home that had outlived its lifespan and after reading some of the previous customer reviews on this company, I hired Muto Construction for the job. Both the owner Jasen Muto and the project manager Tony Fernandes were involved from the beginning to plan and coordinate the job. The crew doing the replacement were experienced, professional, and took great pride in their work. They protected my house and shrubs from damage and did a great job cleaning up after completion. Jasen came by that day to look the job over and to be sure I was happy with the work. The project was finished in less than 2 days and the customer service speaks for itself.

Muto Construction recently replaced my roof and installed numerous skylights. I can not recommend Jasen, the owner of Muto Construction, the office manager Lisa, and the sales consultant and project manager Tony Fernandes more highly. The quality of the roof replacement and skylight installation is exceptional. As a result of Tony's extensive consultation with my wife and me regarding roof and solar skylight options, we were able to make informed decisions. Tony is a pleasure to work with and always answers his phone or returns messages in a timely manner. Tony had the interior finish work completed by Louis Painting. Incredibly well done. Tony also had Gordon from the Mid Cape Home Centers program the newly released VELUX Touch Remote. Gordon spent considerable time ensuring the remote functioned properly. I'm very thankful for Gordon's technical expertise and diligence.

Job originally went smoothly but getting them to finish last bits has been super difficult and frustrating. Also, we had roof leakage AFTER they put on a new roof, and they have not fixed the problem.

"Christiane, I do apologize for the end of the job being so difficult. As we have told you the solar shades are in production now and were ordered as soon as production began again. The only problem is there is a huge demand for the products that they stopped producing. As for the leak at your chimney. You reported a leak to us and I came out within 3 days to look it over and found the lead on the chimney to be in bad shape. I did what I could and asked Tony to call to speak with you. Tony stated to you that the lead on the chimney was in need of being replaced and that the through pan on the chimney meant that you had to tear down the chimney to below the roofline and rebuild it. You opted not to do that work. We then installed a diverter above the chimney to divert the water away from the lead flashing. We had asked you to report back to us if that had the desired effect to prevent the water from driving into the topside of the lead pan. We have checked back with you on a couple of occasions and your responses have been "we are not there we don't know if it worked". We always look to make and keep our customers happy and if it is still leaking we still suggest that you have the chimney rebuilt with new lead or copper flashing. If your car had bad breaks and you got them fixed you would not blame the mechanic if your tire blew out a couple weeks later. We have a number of masons we would be happy to refer to you to rebuild the chimney."

Muto uses technology to measure job and estimate costs. Impressive. Jasen reviewed my shingle options and left me materials to review. Job was scheduled earlier than anticipated and completed within schedule. Site was kept clean. I didn't find a single nail in the yard when they were done. They almost forgot to do one part of the project but I caught it. The crew was nice and respected the neighbors with minimal noise.

Tony came out the same day we called (outside of Home Advisor, which was a terrible experience where we had to go directly to the Muto website to get a phone number). As we expect from Angie's List, Tony was knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, and did not oversell. We have accepted their proposal and have every confidence in the work to be performed. We would strongly recommend homeowners to go directly to recommended professionals and not to become embroiled in the spam-ridden oversold Home Advisor web process. This review is completely positive for Muto Construction and we only wish we could have reached them through the former Angie's List.
