Marc and Eric performed a cedar shake siding replacement for our home including repairing wood rot. Being the second major job they performed for us I would recommend to anyone. Marc communicated status of the work regularly as we managed it from out of town, and both are very professional.

We hired Marc to build a deck in our Cape Cod property and he did a wonderful job. I highly recommend Marc given his professionalism, excellent work, and reasonable rates. I look forward to working again with Marc on my next project.

Marc and Eric Thomis did a superb job replacing my deck, re-shingling a roof, and replacing the cedar shakes on one side of the house. They were very efficient, excellent communicators, and did high performance job. If I need any future work, I will call and recommend Marc and Eric.

We have hired Marc and his son Eric to build a living room addition and an Azek wrapped deck with Azek decking and railings and were happy with both projects. On time and very reasonable with their pricing and payment schedule, we hope to hire them again if the need arises.

Marc Thomis and his son Eric built a dormer on our house for a second floor half bath, and also replaced the asphalt roof shingles and some of the trim. They are totally professional: always on time, met the deadline and the budget, explained everything as they went along and the quality of the work is excellent.

Marc and Eric provided excellent service for a deck replacement, through what became a lengthy and frustrating permitting process to enlarge the deck. The quality is excellent, both pay a lot of attention to detail. Marc made it easy to deal with having the work completed at this second home when I was not able to be there. Would recommend highly.

Marc Thomis and his son Eric provided an outstanding building experience. Marc managed the project but Eric did almost all of the work. Eric is a perfectionist. His workmanship was outstanding. We had an unattached, one-of-a kind, 12'x12'x12' Japanese Tea House built from a red cedar kit designed, packaged and shipped from California. The kit consisted of the corner posts, beams and curved rafters. Eric followed the designer's photo instructions to assemble the kit BUT the rest was entirely custom work. This design featured curved rafters, curved from side-side and front to top. The sheathing was left to Eric to fabricate from spaced cedar planks curved to fit the rafter contours and was topped off with red cedar shingles. The tea house was finished with a 16'x17' mahogany deck for the floor and a hot tub fit into the deck to finish it off. We could not be happier with the work and plan to hire Marc and Eric again in the spring. If you want quality work, call on this team. If you want to see this project, they should have photos readily available on this site or their website. They can probably arrange a visit to see our tea house if wanted.

Marc and Rick were an absolutely top notch team. Marc's management of the project was fantastic, always responsive and fun to work with. The job came out great, I've had nothing but kudos and compliments from friends who are builders and I have already contracted with Marc for another job. This addition, screened porch, rebuilt deck and outdoor shower was at my second home and being off site during this crazy awful winter I never had a second thought about how the work was going, I was updated with pictures and information constantly. I could not recommend Marc any more highly, best contractor I've ever worked with.

I chose Marc Thomis after taking bids from four contractors. Although his bid was slightly higher, I appreciated his willingness to answer all my questions (many) and the fact that there was no pressure to accept the proposal. The work was started on the date promised and was finished in the estimated timeframe. I was kept apprised of the progress and what to expect. Each day the jobsite was cleaned up before they left. Marc and his son, Eric are a great team. I plan to have them do any other projects that arise. I don't think you could find a more honest, ethical builder.

I have hired Marc for 3 projects: a mudroom addition, a dining room addition and most recently a new deck. Each project was on budget, on time and exactly what I was looking for. Marc is extremely reliable and most importantly he truly listens to what you want in order to deliver your vision. Marc is a true craftsman who takes pride in his work as well as the level of service he provides. Without a doubt I will continue to work with Marc as my contractor and highly recommend him as a true professional.

I selected this bid because of a) the price, b) Marc was vetted by Home Advisor, and c) important since I live out of the area, Marc promised frequent photos and updates on the work in progress. An associated contractor, Rick, signed the contract and performed the work. The construction appears to be done well although not all specifications were followed. Importantly, communication was not regular as promised by Marc - emails went unanswered, photos and updates often never materialized. This builder could be good for someone living locally who could monitor the work as it was performed.......In January - March 2014, Marc Thomis (Thomis Builders, Brewster MA) and Rick Smith (Ocean Bay Builders, Brewster MA) expanded the existing bathroom in my Cape cottage with a 2 x 4 addition. To put on the addition, the existing floor in the bathroom had to be removed exposing the subfloor. I learned today from my plumber that these “builders” neglected to replace rotting boards in the subfloor and, instead, just covered the whole floor over with new tile. Very disappointing work that I’ll now have to pay to have redone..

Marc and Eric were wonderful to work with. They kept us apprised of the project's process, stayed on budget and on time. They were respectful of the property and cleaned it each day when they left so that we weren't hampered by the project. When the actual addition was completed, we asked them back for additional work because we were pleased with their service, and we'd call them again if needed.

I have used Marc Thomis for roof replacement and window replacement jobs. I am quite happy with the outcome of both jobs. Marc and his son Eric take the time to ensure the job is proceeding in a manner that keeps the customer satisfied. When the windows were replaced, Marc made helpful suggestions during construction that resulted in a better end product. His prices are fair and he starts and finishes when he says he will. I would use his services again and highly recommend him for home improvement work on the Cape.

Marc was very conscientious and dedicated to our project. We were not onsite during our renovation and he did an excellent job keeping us informed. We received weekly updates with photos so we could see how the job was progressing. We were very happy with the results and his prompt attention to finish up all the little details.

We actually hired Marc's son Eric to replace our deck and had a most pleasant experience. Eric was very professional, extremely organized in his approach. We are very happy with the results and would not hesitate to hire Eric for any future projects. Highly recommended!!

Marc and Eric are the very definition of professional craftsmen. Our experience with them couldn't have been better. They are reliable, they listen to your ideas as well as provide their own, their work is excellent, keep a clean worksite, and are extremely efficient. The addition turned out exactly as I had envisioned thanks to Marc and Eric. We had approximately 10 contractors bid the addition, but none really listened like Marc, as well as prepared the estimate in a timely manner. I can't stress how happy we are with Marc and Eric, but I can tell you that we now have a contractor for life.

He keeps us informed. We would use Marc in the future if we have additional projects to be done.

Marc and Eric are superb craftsmen who bring a project in on time and on budget. They are problem solvers who come up with creative solutions that make a renovation look as if it has always been there. Watching them crawl around under an existing floor to install insulation is like watching the guys on "This Old House" only better. They take are happy to explain what they are doing and why if you are a curious owner. The father and son team make good use of their individual strengths to complete the work quickly and beautifully. Sensitive to the problems of living in the middle of a construction project, they work hard to insure there is as little disruption as possible and the site is always clean and tidy. They are good people who will even loan you their tools and make helpful suggestions if you happen to be engaged in a project of your own while they are on sight. We are delighted with our addition and recommend them to you without reservation.

We had 11 windows replaced with outside and inside trim and Marc Thomis builders did an outstanding job. Also, we had the siding removed and replaced on three sides of our home along with PVC trim boards. We then asked them to build a deck and they did a great job. All the work the Thomis builders did was quality. They showed a strong work ethic throughout the whole project. They set up and cleaned up daily.

I can recommend Marc Thomas without hesitation. He is very easy to work with, does good work, and is prompt and reliable. We're very pleased with the job he did for us, installing two windows and some interior remodeling. He'd be my first choice on any future project.

Marc was not the best salesman among the people who quoted on laying our floor. He gave us a quote that was in line with the others, without a lot of talk about how great he is. We chose him because he offered to coordinate the electrical and plumbing work, too. But once he started working, we couldn't have been happier. He did great work, made sure that the electrician and plumber appeared in a timely manner, and followed up on every detail. Best of all, once he began working, he was a wonderful communicator. We were not living in the house, and he called almost daily to consult about details of the project. I recommend Marc very highly
