This past August, Frontier Energy had added attic, wall, and basement insulation, in addition to other energy efficient items. All the work was well done and my wife and I are very happy with the results.
I decided to replace my roof to finish the home modernization. Roofers stripped the roof last Wednesday when I was off Cape. They replaced half the roof Wednesday and for whatever reason, left the other half of the roof exposed to the rain which came
Thursday before finishing the roof Friday. When I entered the home Friday night, the bedroom ceiling had collapsed
damaging the items inside as well as damage to the kitchen. All the roof insulation was wet and was removed. But I did not know the situation of the new wall insulation and was fearful of mold growth.
I contacted Frontier Energy on Monday afternoon for advice and request a site visit. Dana was helpful in answering my questions and made the time in his schedule to visit the property the next morning. He followed up with pictures of the wood and insulation from test borings.
While I suspected the walls were fine, I feared not knowing that perhaps the insulation had been become wet and compromised. Dana?s visit helped allowed me to know for sure, and provide peace of mind. I also followed Dana?s suggestion and had the walls inspected via infrared which revealed similar findings.
