It was excellent and I was very satisfied. It took about a week to do but he did a real good job. I didn't have to hit the alarm and get him to redo it. I was very happy with it.

This was the second job we used Coast to Coast (C2C) for; the other was the cobble-edging of our driveway and a walkway. The first experience went very well, this one was a nightmare! Detailed plans were drawn and discussed in detail with C2C owner, and because this work was being done at a second home, we depended on remote discussions, and periodic updates.
Plans were ignored concerning the entranceway granite slab and stairs, and mason basically did what he wanted to do with a veneer wrap around existing cement slab, vs. what the plans and contract specified. When owner was 'called' on this situation, things got very weird, and frankly disturbing. We attempted to work-out a reasonable compromise with a revision to the contract and additional money to cover details we specified but that were ignored; all to attempt to be reasonable with a small business person.
Near the end, owner called pleading for final money ahead of completion to pay his men, which I did.
The thanks I got for this was a verbal attack for 'micro-managing the project' (I did get very involved in the details since contract specs were ignored), and a completely unnecessary and silly refusal to finish the bluestone walkway (it cost me $300 to have another mason finish the job that should have been completed by C2C).
The sad part about this is that C2C does excellent work (all the pictures on his website are an accurate reflection of his quality), but he was horrible at managing details, quotes, financials and customer relationship. I would never, ever, ever hire this mason again.
