This company came out did an estimate and gave a quote for the brand Trane, which seems to be their main brand to push. I asked for an additional estimate for another brand and its been at many weeks and nothing. I contacted the office, I contacted the rep who wrote the original estimate and he said he would send the estimate and nothing! Crickets! If it takes this long just to write up and send an estimate I would hate to have them do the work and then need any type of service from them, it seems they would never come!

This company is AMAZING! Look no further and definitely wait for them if they are booked out a little. This was the second major repair McClaren has completed for us (they installed a complete air conditioning unit last year) and their workmanship, customer service and professionalism is second to none. The expression "measure twice cut once" is a fitting logo for McClaren HVAC ; the owner Artie fully evaluated my job, sent me a detailed proposal and accompanied his men to outline the job as it began. The HVAC guys couldn't have been nicer and more professional. Their work is like artistry...clean and perfect...they cleaned up everything and simply let me know when they were done. All work was done exactly as proposed down to the finest detail. McClaren's professionalism and attention to detail is second to none. After flying in from San Francisco on the red eye and then looking at my new ducts, I mistakenly thought I saw an error. I immediately alerted the office secretary who immediately contacted the owner, Artie. Artie returned my call right away and within 15-20 minutes he and his lead guy were back in my basement listening to my concerns. The error was completely mine and mine alone, but Artie and his guy were incredibly gracious about making the trip over for no reason and I was very impressed with their responsiveness. In the end, the work is beautiful and I feel so much more at ease to know that the repairs are not only complete but, much more importantly, done with such high quality and attention to detail. I will have McClaren back in Fall to do some additional duct work per my request. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

The entire experience was great, from sales, design to install everyone I spoke to and worked with was professional, accountable and very knowledgeable. Job completed in 2 days with 80% of the work completed on day one. I was consulted throughout the entire install as far as options and preferences. I also purchased their 10 year labor warranty to go along with the 10 year manufactures warranty.

They were excellent. It took one day to complete the job. There were three workers. They had pre-visits to do, like measurements, they had one guy come in to double check the whole scope of the work before the actual men came in. They did that to prevent the guys getting here and not having things that they might need. They definitely dotted all of their "I's" and crossed their "T's".

I would say they are very good. In fact, I am going to be calling them for an air conditioning check. I think the best part about this company is that there is always somebody to reach if you run into a problem with something and it's usually a live person. They are very responsive that way. The part that I think is not so great is that I think they are a little on the pricey side. I don't have a lot of experience with people that do that kind of maintenance and stuff. That was like a maintenance kind of a call and we had them look at both furnaces or cooling systems. It was $150 for each. To me the price seems expensive, but I don't have a lot of people to compare them to. I would say they do a good job. I think they are a really good company. I would use them again. I would like to price out some other people because I think what they were saying was and maybe I am not remembering this correctly, but I think they did the cooling part and they said something about come the fall, you can make another appointment for the heating system. So to me, why not do it all at once, because that would be like a similar charge and I think the suggested on a yearly basis, so I think that is a little on the expensive side.

Very well. Everyone we spoke with including the installers were very knowledgeable, helpful and it a job very well done. We give them an A+.

Our unit was freezing up, our drain was plugged, water was all in the unit. The technician blew out the drain and told me keep unit off to defrost, then put back on to see if freeze again. It did he came back and said it was probably a freeon leak, he put in a sealant and freeon. All good now.

Our central air system stopped working and we chose McLaren to replace our old system based on their initial follow up, assessment and professional manner. We were not disappointed. The crew that took out our old system and installed the new system showed up on time and worked very diligently to complete the job. Everything went smoothly and much quieter and faster than I had expected. The whole process, from coming to our home and diagnosing the problem to finishing up the installation, was a perfect example of what I expect when hiring a service professional. We are extremely happy and would recommend McLaren Heating & Air Conditioning to anyone.

Background:
I recently built a house in Cohasset.  My Contractor unfortunately left me with an HVAC disaster, which included units that were wired incorrectly or not at all, improper settings on the Air Handlers and duct work that was improperly placed.
After appx. five (5) months of frustration due to the contractor's inability or unwillingness to remedy the situation, I called McCLaren Heating and Air Conditioning, which made the above listed repairs and adjustments.
McClaren Heating and A/C, Inc:
McClaren was awesome and a relief after five (5) months of headaches and in largely half operable system.  The technician was knowledgeable, pleasant and the pricing was very reasonable.
I recommend McClaren to anyone who needs HVAC and wants the job done right!  The alternative of going else can be a painful proposition.

I called for a tune up and the technician noticed the flue pipes were incorrectly installed on the house I had just purchased. So we ended up getting that fix, it was not cheap but they did a great job.

I called them on Friday, May 29th. I spoke with a very pleasant women and I told her that I needed someone to come look at my central AC. I told her I believed it is out of freon. She told me that Shawn would be out on Monday, June 1st between 2:00 -4:00 and that he would call when he was on his way. I thought great, a pleasant lady and a quick response. On Monday it was raining so I wasn't sure if he would still come out so I called the office and was told that yes he would still be there between 2:00 - 4:00. I took 3 hours off of work and went home and waited. He never showed up and didn't call. I called the office at 4:30 and was told by their answering service that they close at 4:00. Needles to say I am underwhelmed by their unprofessional conduct. I am so turned off by home repair/improvement companies. Most of them could care less about customer service because there are so many customers that they just go on to the next one.
I will hopefully find the jewel in the rough...

They gave excellent service and were very professional.  They did a quick job and had good follow up.

I have no idea what they're advedrtising here for if they aren't going to even respond with an 'I'm not interested'. Very disappointed in the lack of response.
