Our old white pine floors needed more than just sanding. There were places that needed skilled work to bring them back to their best. We didn't want a shiny look, and we were happy with the more matte finish. The clean-up was also more than we expected. Other workers on our house (windows, electric work) commented that Dion's is the best. That's high praise from others who work together to restore so many old Amherst homes.

The experience exceeded expectations. I made an appointment to get an estimate. Darren showed up on time, did a quick walkthru and emailed me a quote next day. There were a couple of repairs needed where there was some old water damage, and the work was perfect. The replacement boards fit seamlessly, and we left the floors natural (unstained) so the new boards were not necessarily going to blend well. When they left I had gorgeous floors and little dust -- I highly recommend.

!Got an estimate quickly.  These guys are busy, but for a reason as they seem to be well regarded.  Once scheduled, which happened more rapidly than I thought it could, the guys came in, and completed the job very quickly.  It looks great, better than new.  The final charge was exactly what they quoted for the estimate.  We are very happy with them and will definitely use them again.  I highly recommend them

These white oak floors hadn't been refinished since the house was built in 1954. While in generally good condition they were certainly worn, dry, and pretty roughed up. I wasn't sure they were totally redeemable, but when Daren's person came to give me the estimate he was very positive about the outcome--while not seeming to be overselling me.
The work was done over the course of three days; we stayed in a hotel to avoid the polyurethane fumes and gave the workmen a key to the house. When we returned the floors were pure perfection; much more than I had ever expected. This company is super!

The floors are perfect. There is nothing negative to report. Installer was very professional. It was also the best quote I received; and I called about 4 different contractors. Everything was done on time, professional, and the floors look stunning.

Great! They did an excellent job sanding in a tight space. Then stained and refinished the floor with 3 coats polyurethane. They came when they said they would and finished on time and at the quoted price.

Overall, the job went well. We had a couple of issues with details after the carpenter came to do repairs (transitions between rooms not done, a couple holes not patched), but after one phone call he came back and finished the job to our satisfaction. The polyurethane guys were prompt, quick, and it looks great.

I think we got them through Angies List. We liked that they were very responsive, flexible in their timeline, which was helpful to us. They were also knowledgeable and pretty quick.

It went well, they did what they said they would do on the dates they said, their price was slightly higher than the other two quotes-but not much Darin was a litle hard to get hold off after they started- (had to leave messages) but not too bad Generally I was quite pleased

they were prompt, the floor looks good, and the cost was very reasonable. the reason i can't give a 100% positive recommendation is their attention to detail - for instance, they took down our baseboard heaters to do the installation, and put them back up AFTER applying the floor finish, so now i have rough imprints of the baseboard heater in the finish on those areas of the floor. also, they damaged the drywall in a lot of areas where they took down the molding. to do it over again, i would have watched them more closely and not paid until they corrected those items.

I just bought a three-bedroom home (built in 1942) with wood floors throughout. The floors were in relatively good condition, but needed to be sanded and finished with polyurethane. The workers appeared when scheduled, wasted no apparent time completing the work, and left the house very clean.

Perfect. They finished on time, and under budget. (The estimate was based on the square footage of the house, but the actual square footage of wood floor was less, and they calculated that in. So they're honest.) They did a great job. I'd definitely use them again.
