I decided to update some light switches to new dimmers and countdown timers for vents. I decided to go with Paul due to his reviews and prompt response. Paul was on time, efficient and provided much needed advice with house maintenance. I do look forward to working with him again.

Paul is extremely professional. He is always on time and completes the work in the designated timeframe. His pricing is fair and he itemizes everything on the invoice. We will continue to hire Paul for all our home improvement needs!

Paul was great! He was very professional and knowledgable about the best approach for installing these doors. Our house is tricky since nothing lines up as it would in a new house (which he encountered during the installation). When the doors i originally chose were unavailable, he custom made and painted them himself. During the installation, he was punctual and very quiet as well as cleaned up everybday. The barn doors came out fantastic and are the envy of all who see them! We are very happy with his work and will definitely use him again!

Paul had come to our house to provide an estimate on some work we needed done which was unrelated to this service.  Knowing we were interested in remodeling our master bath in the future, I showed him the current state of the room and he immediately identified that there was black mold under a loose tile near the tub. Paul indicated that he could take care of the mold problem for us and if the mold didn't extend beneath the tub, we could still put the complete remodel off indefinitely.  Paul provided us with all of our options which was really helpful in re-prioritizing the work schedule.  Following this appointment, on that very afternoon, Paul came through on some promised links to products which we had talked about during initial meeting.  His follow-through and professional manner through-out impressed us so much that we had absolutely no reservations about requesting his services regarding this project.

We contacted Paul regarding his schedule and he suspected that he would have time the following week, but we were expecting one of our big blizzards that weekend and, understandably, much depended on the impact from the storm. Despite having to address emergency requests regarding ice dams, etc., Paul was able to schedule us in for the following Wednesday.  He had to email us prior to Wednesday, however, as he was laid low by the flu and assured us that he would contact us when he was back on his feet.  As promised, Paul emailed us that weekend and we were able to schedule for the following Wednesday -- despite additional snow.

Paul showed up early but respectfully waited outside in his truck until the agreed upon time.  He was able to complete the project in approximately 4 hours which included removing tile, cutting out 3 layers of damaged subflooring, treating the mold, making a trip to the lumber yard for plywood, rebuilding the floor and reinstalling our original tile which he was able to salvage, and re-grouting around new tile.  He was clean, respectful, knowledgeable about the process and more than fair in his pricing.  (Paul did not charge us for the additional plywood.)  He also took the initiative to address a problem that we were having with the bathroom door sticking which my husband had spoken to him about during a prior phone conversation and we were delighted to see that the door swung freely when we went to inspect his work.

We couldn't be happier with Paul and his work and we plan to contact him in the near future to begin addressing some of the other projects which we talked about.

A let down.  Paul had done extensive work for us in the past. When we moved to new home, we had him do a few projects. We had originally planned to have him  do lighting work as well as installation of a bathroom exhaust fan.  He arrived the day we planned to have interior work done and was upset that roofers were working on the house. He was to be working inside and they, of course were outside.  He did part of the job, then informed us that the roofers "were in his way."  He basically left without saying he was not coming back.   We were lectured that we should have told him that they were going to be at the house at the same time as he.  The house has a driveway and on street parking, as well as 4 separate entrances. It would be quite possible for both work crews to be working on the house at the same time without being in each other's way.  There was plenty of room for them to park their trucks.   Ironically, Paul had told us a story about working on a very large home where there were several work crews present at the same time.   Apparently, in that instance it was ok.  We  were told that we were not respectful of his time.  He did not follow up and basically never contacted us about the other projects discussed. Conservatively, over the last several years, we had given Paul at least $10,000 in business, so we were under the impression that we were valued customers. Apparently, this is not the case.

"This review is completely false and a total misrepresentation of the facts. The work in question was for a total of $886.13 (not 1500) and involved installing some wireless sconces. The work was completed August 22, 2014 and payment due upon completion. The customer was very happy with the installation but asked that he be invoiced and asked me return to do some additional work for him in his bathroom. I Invoiced as requested via email on 8/23. As many times in the past, the customer did not pay the invoice on time. After several weeks I emailed him asking for payment. He got angry with me because I had not received his check which he claimed to have sent. After several email exchanges I finally received a check more than 30 days overdue. I returned on the date and time the customer requested to start the next project, I could not park near the home due to multiple contractors trucks including a roofing company, blocking the driveway and entire frontage of the home. I was never informed that there might be an issue being able to work there that day. I had to park about a block from the home which made working there very difficult and expensive. I offered to return the following day but was told, " if I left, don't bother coming back" As a result I lost 2 days of scheduled work. I again offered via email to set up another date but he never responded. Oddly enough he and his husband have recommended me to their neighbors and written previous reviews on this site praising my services. See his "A" rating review dated July 28, 2014 of my work completed on July 16, 2014. "Paul is always professional and quotes are very close to the actual cost of the project. While he may be a bit more expensive than the rest, the work is better and is overall very high quality. We will continue to use him for handyman projects in the future" Why this negative review comes 6 months after this incident can only be explained as a vindictive attempt to smear my reputation. I can only surmise that he is upset with himself for chasing away, as he has described me, " the best contractor he's ever dealt with". I've always gone well beyond the scope of work for this customer and provided my best effort even making many visits to his home at no charge to him. My account above is well documented and I am happy to provide any and all if it to anyone interested."

The first project Paul worked on was replacing the rotted wood under a bay window and replacing porch railings.  Both projects turned out to be bigger than expected and required some creative approaches.  Due to the unknowns he worked for time and materials.  The end product turned out great and it was very reasonable.  Since then he's fixed my roof, not an easy job with the steep pitch, remounted the dishwasher, patched a brick wall including anchoring electrical outlets.
No job seems too big or too small.  He's great to work with, always shows up when he says he will and cleans everything up.  I'm working on a new list of projects for him to do over the next few months as I get my house ready to sell.   I highly recommend hiring Paul.

Our experience with Paul was good right from the start.  He showed up on time to give us an estimate and had a quote to us quickly. Paul's estimate was a little more than some other quotes we received but he seemed knowledgable and I do believe that you get what you pay for.  The quality of the work he did looks excellent.  There were some possible snags but Paul and his assistant were able to work around them (possibly having to move a concrete step which would have been costly) and get the job done.  Paul actually came in under price because he was able to complete some of the work without needing a piece of equipment we previously thought he would need.  Also, he was very professional and cleaned up the work site when he was finished.  We are very satisfied with Paul's work.  Not only do we plan to use him again, we've already asked him to take a look at some other work for us.

Paul is the most professional handyman I have ever hired.  He showed up on time, let me know what was being done and the result was excellent.  I didn't have to worry about a thing.  He cleaned up after and even took the trash with him. Without a doubt I would hire Paul's Handyman Services, LLC again.

Bathroom floor had been sinking, due to years of water leakage.  Paul found the problem, and fixed it nicely.  He worked with my schedule, explained everything, and honored my choices.  Thoroughly professional behavior, excellent work.  Happy to recommend, and will likely hire again, as my house dates from the 19th century.

Paul and his team performed 3 major renovation efforts for me

|1.  Repaired and rebuilt a significant section of an exterior wall that had suffered major water damage from a long-ago improperly constructed Juliet balcony.  Work included structural work and new windows and siding.

|2.  Rerouted a forced hot air vent from an unused basement room to a second floor room that was not previously receiving heat

|3.  Insulated, drywalled, and primed (for painting) two first floor rooms.

|Paul and his team repeatedly met the challenges caused by haphazard original construction and in the end left me with a better, safer house than I had before their work.  I would definitely use his services again.

They made the appropriate and better repairs than I expected and that's good news. The interaction was very good. I understand contractors are always busy but Paul got back to me and kept me informed. When we met onsite, he went over the details very clearly. It was a good interaction. The openness and honesty stood out to me.

We had water damage and cold air coming into the house. My husband attempted to repair the damage but found extensive rot to siding and framing.  We got three estimates but felt Paul provided the most detailed estimate and very a reasonable pricing.  He also helped with ordering the correct door.  Paul showed up ontime, removed all the door, damaged lumber and siding.  He made the necessary repairs, reframed and installed the new door.  He also replace all the trim both inside and out.  He took all the old material away and cleaned up, you wouldn't know he was ever there.  The new door is beautiful and much warmer.
