As time wore on, the chipping and cracking got worse. As often happens with new parents, we were busy and neglected to call within warranty. That's absolutely out fault. When we finally did contact Mr. Tub they said the warranty was no longer valid (which is completely understandable) and that we would have to schedule another full price reglaze to fix the problems. I felt as though this was poor service as we clearly used them a year and a half ago. I would of course be willing to pay given our mistake, but believe that we should have been offered a discount. The chipped area is currently about 3 inches by 4 inches, and expanding as time goes on.
I would not recommend this service to anyone.
Errol was the only one out of several providers to realize that our existing tub was a cheap plastic (not fibreglass) unit that couldn't be repaired.
He took the time to come out a second time to explain all the options available.
We decided to go with a shower tub instead of a bath tub.
He and his team showed up on time and went to work immediately.
They covered all floors to the bathroom and all open surfaces in the bathroom.
Errol stayed for a couple of hours to ensure his crew had everything they need and all our questions were answered.
Once the job was finished the crew cleaned up all debris and left us with a clean updated bathtub
Over the years tub floor developed egg shelling which were actually minute cracks; then chipping began. That's when I took action and sought quotes for repair. Mr. Tub, Charlie Shreenan, was very responsive to request and inspected tub same day. Although price comparable to others I decided to go with more local contractor. Work done within one week on a day and time fitting my schedule. Worker showed up early on scheduled day. Although many tools and pieces of equipment were brought into the house, the work area(bathroom) was left tidy. Some dust on other bathroom fixtures, as expected. For a couple of hours odor was pretty strong, as expected. End result looks great with smooth finish, matching color (tan/ bone) and edges well feathered and blended. Total time on the job = 4.5 hours. Mr. Tub left a care instruction sheet to follow for the 5-year warranty. After two day curing period, have used tub a half dozen times without incident. With proper care I do expect rebuilt floor to last many years.
Would I recommend Mr. Tub. Absolutely!
