From the first call, through the visit to estimate, and throughout the actual move everything went smoothly. The movers were quite professional and personable. In all it took a little over 4 hours. We would recommend Ferrick Brothers Moving highly.

Everything went super smooth. At Bob's recommendation we had the movers empty my condo the day before my signing them deliver everything the day after my signing. It's referred to as a Load & Hold. It made things less stressful time wise and gave me ample time to clean and inspect both places as needed. The moving crew was superb! Very professional, polite and helpful. Would recommend this moving company and use them again.

Move went very well.  2 men the first day, 3 the second day.  Move was end of February and bitter cold (near zero).  The men never stopped moving and never complained.  No damage to any of the furniture or box contents.  I would highly recommend Ferrick Bros. to anyone in the North Shore area.

Ferrick Bros. moving crew came to our residence to move out furniture (and a grand piano) for renovations, and on another date to return furniture to original locations. All interactions with office staff and moving crew was first class. A definite recommendation !

I can say without hesitation that I would recommend Bob Ferrick and his team of movers for even my closest family. It was a complicated and confusing process reading through all of the 'deals' on Angie's List and contacting each company to try to understand what the actual final price would be. Not a single moving company I spoke with, most of the movers the the 'deals' section for the north shore of Boston, could convince me that there would not be hidden fees involved. It was quite an exhausting and disheartening process to be honest. Moving is not a very enjoyable process and not getting a straight answer made it that much worse. Then I contacted Ferrick Brothers Movers on a referral from my wife's friend and left them a message letting them know I was looking for a quote. Bob Ferrick, the owner of the company, called me back personally and took as much time as needed to honestly explain not only how his company works but also all of the tricks the other companies employ that will result in significant extra charges and fees that are only explained to you once the move is underway or finished. He gave me his word that my wife and our 11 month old baby would be treated with the utmost respect by his team, that all of our stuff would be packed carefully and efficiently, and above all else there would be NO hidden fees. As it is impossible to calculate exactly how much time it will take to move someone, he gave me a range based on the size of our house, the distance of our move and their travel time to and from the locations. The final cost came in UNDER the low end of the range he had given! The reason for this is that in addition to taking the time to explain some of the deceptive practices that take place with some of the other moving companies, Bob personally coached me on how to get ready for the move so it would take as little time and cost as little money as possible. It was so refreshing to find someone that actually cared about saving their customers money instead of simply taking on undisclosed fees at the end of the job. On the moving day the crew showed up exactly on time. The Foreman and the team he had with him took the time to say hi and introduce themselves to my son, my wife and myself as we'll as walk through the house to confirm what was going to make sure all the crew was on the same page. They really cared and it showed. They worked very efficiently and methodically to make sure all of the items were packed and unloaded with the utmost care. They took the time to place and arrange the furniture where my wife directed, unroll rugs, remove packing material and wipe tier feet on the mats in the new house to make sure they were not tracking as little in as possible. The icing on the cake? We had a chair that had been broken long before the Ferrick Brothers team came into the picture. I let the Foreman know about this before he moved the chair so that he would know. He took it upon himself to fix the chair without being asked, using tools he had brought. Just an amazing display of customer service at the highest level. In short if you are planning a move in an area serviced by Ferrick Brothers Moving, take the time to call Bob for a quote. He may not always look like the least expensive option out of the gate, but the honesty, lack of hidden fees and customer service focused work ethic of his team make Ferrick Brothers a Five Star operation that I would trust to move my own mother. |

Ferrick Brothers did an excellent job - nothing was broken, lost or damaged. The team was very professional and courteous. I have moved many times; Ferrick Brothers has done the best job by far.

It went very well, especially since it was such a short notice, less than a week. They took pride in what they do and respected my belongings. When we got to our new house, they were very considerate of not damaging any light fixtures or the stairs, it was a bit tricky with some pieces of furniture. They even stopped for a bit due to heavy rains. Overall a great experience.

These guys were great!  Bob, the owner came out to do an estimate ahead of time giving us all kinds of advice in preparation for the move. The crew showed up on time and moved our entire household in just a few hours.  They were professional, pleasant and I don't think could have been more careful if they were moving their own furniture.  I would definitely use Ferrick Brothers again and can highly recommend them without hesitation.  They took most of the stress out of moving day and even came in under budget.

As a  Seller's real estate agent, I periodically Ineed a speedy solution for the removal of items (usually large) from the property just before or just after the deed transfers.to the new owner.  On such an occasion last September I called a number of local companies (who promised to "get back to me" but didn't) before I connected with Bob Ferrick who quickly had a price and a possible time frame for the job that would coincide with the time interval requested to fit the new owners' schedules.
 Bob Ferrick and  his team arrived promptly, surveyed the need, identified tight passages, and quickly proceeded to remove a large chest freezer from the lower level of  this recently-sold property.  While the new homeowner stood-by fearing what would be  damaged in the procees, the Ferrick team quickly proceeded removing doors and adjusting  the glass sliding doors to their widest.  In minutes the freezer was on its way to its next home and the doors and door stops replaced , leaving only happy people in residence.
Recently, it looked as though I might need Bob Ferrick and his team to rescue objects from another SOLD property. Again,  Bob quickly gave me a fair price and offered to schedule my "rescue" at an inconvenient hour on short notice.  A different resolution removed the need for a mover ...this time.

Excellent. Actually the best movers we have ever hired! Bob and his team were very professional, helpfull, and responsive. We really cant say enough good things about this company. Very impressed! Hopefully we wont need to move anytime soon, but we will definately hire again.

When we finally closed on our new home, we wanted to move in ASAP as we were crammed into an extended stay hotel which wasn't cheap. With a close date up in the air thanks to the mortgage company dragging their feet, we could not book a mover in advance.
Do you know how hard it is to find a reputable mover for a local last minute move during the summer - the peak moving season? Almost impossible.  We called 4 or 5 local moving companies and Bob at Ferrick was the only one with availability and a rate of $175 an hour for 3 guys and 1 truck including time from Bradford to storage and then to new house and back to Bradford. (This seemed like better deal then compared to some of the local companies). Cash/check only since it was less than 2 weeks from moving date. Since all our stuff was in 2 storage units, he was honest and said final cost is based on how long to pack/unpack and how many truck loads. He prefers to do a walk through of a home first to give estimate but understood it wasn't possible.   At this point, it was either Ferrick or someone off Craigs list since everyone was booked solid for a few weeks or wouldn't return calls.
The truck showed up exactly when agreed upon - 3 guys and a big truck.  They quickly loaded the truck (1 1/2 of storage units) and had us unpacked a new home in about 3 hours if that. We opted not to pay for a 2nd trip to finish up 2nd storage unit but in hindsight, we should have. A couple of the guys even offered to come by in the evening with their personal truck and trailer to finish up which was nice but my husband wanted to do it himself (haha...threw his back out in the process). Nothing was broken (besides our poor packing of glasses), walls or furniture not dented or scratched. Everyone was professional. Would recommend using Ferrick again.

The movers were on time, professional, did the job within the estimated time, and the quoted amount.
They carried many, many  totes to the third floor for us.
 Just an overall good experience one week before Christmas.

They were excellent and their pricing is great. There are very personable and take great care to move everything. I have a lot of antiques and they were very careful with them. They are just really nice guys. They have a couple of foremen there. I recommend them highly. They are extremely competitive as far as pricing and I do trust them.
