Brendan is a dependable contractor you can count on. He is a talented carpenter who is capable of tackling a wide variety of home repairs, upgrades, and additions. Over the years, he has successfully completed many projects at my house, and there are several more planned for this year. He excels in arranging tasks according to his clients' objectives. Brendan's exceptional communication skills complement his contracting abilities, as he ensures project understanding and always works with his customer's best interest in mind. Moreover, he stays dedicated to the project until the end. I have never felt uncertain about the progress or next stages of a project. He's proven to be a huge asset in emergency situations as well. While skill is important, it's worth noting that Brendan is also pleasant to be around, unobtrusive while working, and keeps a clean workspace. In my experience, he possesses strong ethics, and I without reservation recommend Brendan Cosgrove.

Brendan Cosgrove came over for two days to remove snow and ice dams from our roof.  Our town has received 114+ inches of snow this year so it was quite a job. 
He worked nonstop both days and got the roof totally cleared.  He told us that we won the "Ice Dams of The Year" award for having the nastiest ice dams ever -- but he was able to get them cleared off with the most determined effort I have ever seen.
He is a very nice gentleman, knowledgeable about construction matters, showed up when he said he would and quoted us a fair price.
We will definitely consider Brendan for future work.

They were excellent. They were very good. He was very efficient. It only took him an afternoon to do the insulation. He worked non-stop and got it all done. He was really good. He was good about calling when he was coming and making sure that I'd be home and stuff like that, even though he could have done the work without me here.

Very nice work; attention to detail.

Brendan subcontracted out the electrical and plumbing, and did the rest himself. As a one-man shop, bumps in the road in terms of his other job commitments, not to mention the occasional general life event, mean that he is not the man to tap if you're looking for a total bathroom gut in three weeks. But if you can wait... the quality of his work is very high. He is meticulous and responsive to punch list requests. And, while redoing a bathroom is never cheap, we found the cost of his work to be both reasonable and competitive. For the first bathroom, we ended up having to go substantially over budget due to a multiplicity of issues that had to be addressed to bring the room up to code, and/or that became known only once the walls were down. While this was financially painful, I had a sense of how much some of the components (e.g. replacing our electrical panel) would usually cost, and the cost was quite fair for what the work was. Also, Brendan is a good communicator, responsive by phone and email. And he's a really nice person.

He is a hard worker. He did a very very nice job on our deck. He is getting ready to put in windows, insullation, and reuse current siding.

I like them because he is truly the kind of guy that no job is to small. He has done several things for us. He is not always the most responsive but is very polite.
