I have found both doctors very knowledgeable and professional. They identified that one of my cats had cancer, did a test to confirm, gave us meds to keep him comfortable, and he died at home 3 months later. He got great care. My dog loves to go there, the girls at the desk are very friendly, the doctors examine the dog thoroughly, they do any necessary testing for heartworm, etc., give her a treat, and my corgi then happily goes on her way until her next needed visit. She is not afraid to go to the vet, as I have often seen with other veterinary hospitals.

We've had really good luck with both vets there. If we have a sick animal and need to get in, we always get an appointment. I brought one of my cats in for a wellness check and the doctor expressed some concern and did more testing. She was correct that my cat was very sick, although I had not known. My cat had cancer and she provided us with lots of information and recommendations. The cat was around 12 years old and died peacefully several months later at home. The vets and staff are extremely passionate about what they do. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else!

Hey we're open for two more hours when I called. The person on the phone put me on hold and talked the the vet and came back on and told me that they couldn't see me "because they close at 6 and the last appointment we take is at 5:30 so the Dr can go home" What???? I told them I would never go back there-and I've been going to them for years. The vet did call (as o was on the way to South Deerfield with my sick dog. And basically told me that that's probably what I heard the person say because I was upset. Wow. So you won't see my dog - after I've spend thousands of dollars over the years and countless hours waiting in the waiting room for other emergencies - but my dog isn't important and then you tell me I'm wrong? Nice. Goodbye. Just be wary of these people. Our usual vet(Dr Adams)wasn't there, I'm willing to bet she would have reacted differently. But we are still not going back.

While I was there, there were a couple of issues. The first issue was, one of my dogs Stella was having some issues. She was shutting a lot and I wanted her thyroid tested but the vet said that she doesn?t have the symptoms except the shutting. I said that the shutting was excessive but she insisted that it was just one symptom. So I did not argue with her since she said that it?s an expensive test and that it was not worth doing it. Months later I took my dog back because of her unusual behaviour and the vet said that she has two symptoms; the shutting and her behaviour which is wild and unexplainable freaking out. So she did a T3 and T4 test and it turned out that it was low. I complained because I asked for this over a year ago and this could have been addressed and I was willing to pay for the test. So if someone asks for a test, she was not doing any favors by not following it. She could have made more money by doing the test whether she would find something or not. The second issue was; while I was having the wellness check for my dog, Stella, she decided she will examine Maggie (my other dog) as well even though Maggie had been there the previous month. So she started looking at Maggie?s teeth and discovered that Maggie had a chipped tooth. So the mistake was; she was supposed to be examining Stella but she examined Maggie and that was how the chipped tooth got documented in Stella?s chart. But the chipped tooth could have been discovered the previous month because Maggie stopped eating and when I called them about it I didn?t get a call back and a response from them. Then days later, I was freaking out because my dog wasn?t eating and she said that it was not an emergency issue. I was arguing with her and then a year later I was refused care in that hospital because of the mistakes that they made like the documentation errors. It wasn?t false documentation but it was documentation in the wrong chart. Then they picked it out on me because they think I was bad because they did not give me good care and good service so I?m asked not to come back. Maybe I over reacted a bit but I did not yell or scream at them but I was upset because my dog had not been eating for a day or two and then I make this phone call and then I had to wait another day or two for their response.
As a small business owner and as dog training professional, I understand that we have to deal with neurotic patients all the time. I was also a nurse before then I left the profession and became a dog trainer. So I understand when family members have a sick patient that there is a lot of anxiety. So I think that the concerns should be addressed.

I have gone to this vet clinic for a number of years. They are great, the always can fit you in if you really need a visit and are great for my dog with a number of health problems. He requires a lot of monitoring and testing, and I always get a call from Dr. Adams the day after his tests to discuss the results and what do do next.

This place is wonderful. They treat my "Eddie" (dog) as if he were theirs. Always greeted by a friendly person at the front desk, and usually with treats! Everyone who works there is clearly there because they love animals. Dr. Janet is wonderful. They don't push services "down your throat" like some other vets I've been to. Again, just the nicest people. Oh, and Eddie gets so excited when he sees where we are going. He's happy to go there.

We called the office first thing one morning and described the dog's symptoms to the receptionist. She quickly fit our dog into an open appointment slot used for emergengies that day. She was very pleasant and polite. Upon arrival, we were taken into an exam room where a Vet Tech made note of the dog's symptoms and asked many clarifying questions. She was also very cordial and knowledgeable. When Dr. Edman arrived, she was visibly happy to see our dog, played with him for a moment and then started her exam. Throughout the exam, she talked with me and told me what she was thinking and seeing. To be thorough, she also performed an additiona test to be certain our dog had no corneal abrasions that could not be seen with the naked eye. Upon completion, she diagnosed the problem and gave me a prescription for eye ointment. She played with the dog some more and offered him a treat. Dr. Edman was very professional, knowledgeable and empathetic.
