Spittle was hired by our AC company to connect the power to a new unit.

The electrician was told by the AC company to run the power to an auxiliary panel where the old AC used to be connected. I even showed him where it was and cleared access. SO... this guy decides to run it to the main panel, move a bunch of breakers (which were previously labeled and now don't match), disconnect our laundry power and put a blank where he couldn't replace a breaker.

He doesn't ask me any questions or even tell me, or anyone else, what he's done. Then, we go to do laundry next day: no power.

Guy shows up a few days later to fix his mess with no advance call or notice. No apology. Makes excuses why he did what he did. Says he didn't have enough cable for the run to the aux panel. Says he brought 75' but wouldn't reach.

I measured the run. Sixty feet.

So, he didn't do what he was supposed to, forced his own screwy solution to "his" problem of not enough cable (and/or being lazy) and then didn't tell anyone what he did while disconnecting breakers and screwing up our panel in the process.

So, finally, he returns and reconnects the laundry power, does not apologize, makes excuses and then says it will take awhile to reschedule a time to do the job the way it was supposed to be done.

I would NOT use this company. They are making the AC company look bad even though the rest of the HVAC work was done very professionally.

If they are "too busy" doing "big" jobs than they shouldn't take the smaller jobs if they are not going to do them right.

Spittle did work for us more than 10 years ago. My general recollection of them is a very positive one.

These guys are real pros.  They did the hard wired smoke alarms and fixed our bathroom fan.  They were very sensitive to the esthetics of their work and also bothered to take their shoes off in the house!  Since we had just stretched and steamed the rugs, that was very much appreciated – and we didn’t even have to ask, they just did it!
