Water heater blew late on a Friday afternoon.
I contracted through Sears to have a new one put in.
The original installers wanted to charge an additional $375.00 to put in shut off switch which is now required to bring it up to MA state code.
Considering all the wiring was there and it just needed a new box and I thought that was excessive.
I called around to find someone else and MBT responded quickly and they did it in an hour for $112.00 for labor and materials.
$60.00 an hour rate was very reasonable-everyone else was charging $85.00 and hour.

I had actually hired another company before I hired MBT, but they were so slow to get the work done that I called MBT.  They sent a man to my house within 1/2 hour to look at the job and give me an estimate.  When they told me about the trench that had to be dug, they gave me the option of digging it myself to save some money.  I opted to dig myself and when that was done they were at my house within 2 days.  They were very professional and cleaned up after their work thoroughly.  I didn't put a price in the cost area because they haven't sent their bill yet, but I'm sure that will be fair also.
