"We spent an hour with the customer. We taught her how to turn on the icemaker, checked power to the icemaker water valve and searching for the main water feed valve to the icemaker. After instructing the customer on how to operate the icemaker and determining that there was power to the unit, it was determined that there was no water supply to the icemaker. Although we were able to identify that there was a water line connected, we could not locate the valve to turn the water on. The line entered the wall behind the refrigerator and we could not locate the final connection point to the water supply. The customer did not know where the water line was connected nor where the shutoff valve was located. We recommended that the customer contact a plumber rather than paying us for additional time to identify whether the line was actually connected to the water supply. We were able to identify that that the icemaker was in working order, but without water or being turned on could make no ice. At her request, we also did a visual inspection of her air conditioning unit in the attic because she said it was leaking. We found no evidence of a leak. We taught her how to work the thermostat."
