They were friendly, kind and extremely knowledgeable. They take great pride in their professionalism and pay close attention to detail. They showed me all the work I needed and gave me an estimate that did not change. Dave showed me what other companies did not. It was obvious that what the other companies failed to point out was going to have to be done thus pointed out after work and begun. That is a trick to change the estimate and have you pay more when your most vulnerable. Footies showed me all the problems, gave me a price and stuck to it. Called to set up estimate appointment, left message. Received reply two days later. Set up appointment for estimate. Had to reschedule, called and left message. No call back after two days, sent email and received a reply quickly stating they received my voicemail to reschedule. Rescheduled appointment. Never showed up for appointment, never returned my call for the no-show appointment.

I am a realtor and have had a lot of experience with many contractors over the years - I had a handful of chimney people visit my house and these people from the owner on down were HONEST, RELIABLE, CAPABLE - I cannot say enough good words to express how happy I was that I decided to use them - and they were well decently priced for the work done!

Fast accurate

Excellent service and quality work. We run a wood stove 24/7 throughout the winter months. This causes a heavy build up of creosote. We use the anti-creosote spray and logs to help manage this, but we depend on Footie's to keep our chimney clear. They've also installed a flue liner in our second, exterior chimney (on our fireplace) and sealed the exterior when we had some leaking during winter nor'easters. Excellent work that solved the problem and has both our chimneys working beautifully.

Perfect. I needed to line an unlined chimney for a hot water heater. Footie recommended aluminum as the most appropriate material for a natural gas hot water heater. The chimney is a straight shot with a 90 degree turn for attaching the water heater. The installation was quick, including capping the chimney. My experience with Footie is that he does quality, honestly priced work. His quotes are reasonable and accurate.

With any pre-1900 house the foundation was built prior to today's popular "Portland" cement mix. The bricks are softer and require a softer cement than the modern Portland mix. Footie was well aware of this and suggested the appropriate mix. The crew showed up on time, covered the ground and plants. They grounded out the mortar without damage to the bricks. They replaced  a few previously damaged bricks, and cleaned the surfaces from old patch jobs. The end result is a clean well pointed attractive foundation. The crew cleaned up thoroughly. I highly recommend Footie's Chimney Sweep for brickwork. Whether it's foundation, or chimney. Footie is knowledgeable, responsive, and does quality work.
Based on the results of this work I will be using Footie to line my chimney in the near future.

They were very efficient and they come when they are called and the price was moderate.

They said they would be there between 9:00 and 9:30 and they did arrive a bit late (closer to 10:00), which I did not have an issue with since I was going to be home all day. It just so happens that I had other work going on in my house that day and Footie worked around them without a problem, which was great. They cleaned the chimney first, which took some time because it was so dirty, then the furnace. They brought their own drop cloth to make sure nothing got on my rug or furniture. They were professional, courteous and clean. They said my damper was all set, it was just the build up of ash, which made me happy because I was expecting to pay for additional work. I would highly recommend Footie and would use them again.

Everything went really well as usual. We called him to come to clean the chimney and to determine how a bird had gotten into the stack and then into the wood stove. I want to mention that we called on Thursday morning and he was there by around 4:00 Thursday afternoon. They took care of all of the little extras to make sure that everything was clean and secure. We have been using Footie's for several years now and they continue to provide fast, exemplary service in a timely and economical matter. They are a local company and I highly recommend them.
