The crew worked hard and got the job done. The business refused to provide a fixed price estimate that he had provided to my neighbor and just got started on the work without discussing rates. Our project was similar but smaller than our neighbors. It took the crew about 50% of the time to do our work versus my neighbors project. However, my invoice was the same as my neighbors. Rates charged for labor and hauling were well above market rates for this kind of work. Hours billed and use of equipment that we were billed for was higher than actual.
