Advantage Contracting

Dave Kapnis (owner) ran a very professional operation . He was very timely in providing an estimate which I felt was very fair. We discussed several options for additions and subtractions to the work scope and struck a deal.
His work crew was very polite and professional. They showed up when they said they would and cleaned up the job site at the end of each day. The quality of work was excellent. Dave's crew chief, Jason Rock, was exceptional. He not only is a skilled craftsman but he made sure everything was done correctly, even if it meant doing something over.
I was also pleased with his electrical subcontractor, Unger Electric. I wouldn't hesitate to use them directly for any electrical work I have.
I mentioned to Dave that I was getting quotes from the two big box stores for new gutters and downspouts. He put me in touch with Northern Exteriors out of Newburyport who quoted me a price that was a a fraction of the big guys.
I'm a DIYer and have rarely used a contractor and was a bit leery having somebody else work on my house. Overall this was a relatively painless experience.

Excellent experience overall.

This is our second time using Advantage Contracting. The kitchen was gutted to studs, insulated, new dry wall, trim, and paint. We chose to keep the existing floors; the vinyl tiles were removed and the fir floors refinished. New electrical and plumbing for the kitchen, butler's pantry, and the new laundry room. We also updated the electrical panel for the unit. As always, Dave's team was on time and very professional. There were no surprises and the estimate given was dead on (cost excluded cabinets and appliances). The team cleaned the area at the end of every work day.

On request for an estimate he came out the next day to measure things. Sent the proposal by email within 2 days. Was able to slip our 1-day job into his crew's schedule within the following week. Crew arrived when he said they would. Work was done well. Clean-up was done well.
