Stannah responded immediately. The sales person was great, came and took measurements, and showed me all available options without pushing extras. Explained everything including pricing well. He was able to have our install scheduled within a week as my mother was unable to leave our home until the lifts were in. Install day was great. Brad was our installer, and he was amazing. We had many people in and out, as he was installing the two lifts. He was patient, and very kind, and explained everything so well. He was great with my elderly mom. My basement door was causing problems, and Brad worked on it until it was exactly right, and safe even though it kept him well past his leaving time. He vacuumed and cleaned up before leaving, so there was nothing for us to do but try the lifts. I will request Brad for service and repair in the future. The lifts are amazing. Easy for my elderly mother to use, well made, very sturdy, and quiet as well. It has made our lives so much better and given my mother back her freedom. I would recommend Stannah to anyone looking for a quality lift, with great service and warranties.

The services was excellent during the installation and the removal. The equipment was great and I never had a problem with it. I would use them again.

They went up and down and made sure that the seat alarm went off when it was supposed to and that the system shut down when it was supposed to. They just kind of went over the whole thing for 20 minutes but everything is fine. It was excellent. They were really courteous and very professional and everything worked out great.

The reason I can't give Stannah an A or even a B is that as of today (July 3), our stairlift stopped working--less than 3 weeks after it was installed. It is stuck at the top of the stairs and won't budge. When I called the company about 11:00 this morning to ask for a technician to come out, I was told by the person I spoke to that a technician would call me back as soon as possible. What I didn't realize and wasn't told by the person I spoke to was that apparently the prompt, professional service we were originally assured would be available to us didn't apply to the day before a holiday. When I called again in late afternoon, I was told the person would send a 2nd message but the company was basically closed for the holiday weekend. This meant that the earliest we could expect someone to call us (if we're lucky) would be Monday! That comes out to a minimum of 4 days without a usable stairlift (possibly even longer, because there's no telling when a technician will actually be dispatched to our house). In the meantime, my son has to make as few trips upstairs as possible, each time with great difficulty and pain. I hate to think what we'd be facing if he absolutely could not climb stairs, which is something he has experienced at times in the past. I answered yes to the question about using the service again, but that's only because "maybe" wasn't offered as a choice. I would need to see a substantial improvement in Stannah's responsiveness and clear communication with customers (especially in situations such as right before a holiday) before I would consider recommending them to someone else or give them a better rating on Angie's List. ------------------------------------------- UPDATE (July 9, 2015): (1)The good news is that we got the stairlift fixed on Monday. The bad news is that it stopped working again 2 days later! I called first thing this morning and was told they could have someone out between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. and would call me when he was en route. As of 4:30 no call had come in, so I called them again and was told a message would be relayed to the technician and someone would get back to me. By almost 5:30 I had not received a call and no technician had appeared. I then called the cell phone of the man who originally sold us the stairlift, and he promised to contact a technician directly. About 20 minutes later, we had not one but two service vans in our driveway! They were able to fix the stairlift, and it appears that our dogs (or their hair) might have been largely responsible for the latest problem. That's something we will need to make sure we take care of in future; however, it doesn't excuse Stannah's poor system for responding effectively to customer problem calls and making sure those issues are resolved promptly . (2) When you sell a product that's really important to your customers' health and well-being, it seems to me that you have an obligation to go "above and beyond" in terms of responsiveness. I do really appreciate the help we got today from our sales guy, Rich; however, Stannah's performance regarding timely and proactive response to our difficulties doesn't come close to the service quality level I believe should be an essential part of their business practices.

the installer was professional and moved along with delay to make the chair lift operate and instructed how to use it.

We have a brand new home so we were a little worried about how it was going to look - they have to anchor the chair in the stairs. They did a beautiful job and it looks as nice as a lift can possibly look. They really know their business and are true professionals.

As usual, the service men arrived on time. They completed the work in less than two hours and were on their way. This unit is approximately 8 years old and it has never failed to work. On a few occasions it would indicate that something was not right, but it gave us time to schedule a service call to fix the problem--usually a worn out battery. The customer service people are very professional. I think everyone there understands the nature of this product and the importance of having it work when needed. I referred two friends and both purchased a stairlift from them. I highly recommend them if you are looking to purchase a stairlift.

Steve was early which was great. He did a terrific job with the installation and was excellent with explaining the operation of chair.

The two men who installed our chairlift were professional and did the job in a timely manner. The customer service office was very helpful and the initial salesperson did an excellent job of explaining the installation process and taking the required measurements for the customized track.

Be careful when choosing this company. I installed this chair for my mother in my home. On Friday Nov. 28th the chair stopped working. I called and the answering service told me that they were not in until Monday, this is unacceptable!! In desperation I called the salesperson who always said before purchasing "call me anytime if any problems" He was clearly put out and said that he would call the office in the morning and call me back. No call, not even the courtesy to say he tried but could not help. Needless to say mom spent the entire weekend upstairs, unable to get down my stairs. This is an expensive product. On Monday morning 12/01 I called and the person was rude!! (I was very upset) The serviceman did fix the chair later in the day.

Arrived within estimated time window. Did installation as promised. Clearly explained operation. Cleaned up afterwards.

Lift was ordered and installed within a few days. Installer very professional and gave clear and precise instructions for use. This lift is not the cheapest but safety and quality and ease of operation better than others.

Went very well. Definitely recommend.

Sales rep came quickly, some info he gave on chair fixtures was wrong. Installation took extra time because one tech had to leave. Features were explained. Techs cleaned up before they left, made sure we were comfortable with the lift.

I never expected a two day old machine to fail suddenly, especially without a remedy available. This happened on the weekend and the company would not come out. I know machines can fail and even if I was not worried about that, I would hope that a company this large would have a weekend and holiday contact to handle any emergency or even questions that the cusotmer might have. This contact number should appear in their literature.

Wonderful Mark the installer was GREAT + he didn't leave until we changed the height on the chair and we were satisfied. He had a wonderful personality.

We had the stair lift installed in April for my mother who recently had her knee replacement surgery. We have been leasing the stairlift since April. So far we have been extremely happy with the over all performce of the product and the service from the compnay. The chair is very easy to operate, safe and comfortable. I will certainly recomment it to anyone who is thinking of using it. Absolutely great product. We plan to continue leasing it for a few more months.

Stannah Stairlifts was easy to work with and have provided a dependable and user friendly product. You will pay more for a Stannah, but you will also get features not available on other models. We chose to go with Stannah for the automation and safety features. We have used the product for one year and thus far we haven't had any significant problems.

From start (email for information) to installation company was easy to work with. Representative who came to explain lift, measure stairs, etc, was knowledgeable, not pushy. Installer was on time, did work efficiently and completely.

Installation was good. Sales representative at home made three misrepresentation of the product. These errors should not have occurred. Product is great so far. Will use this company for installation, salesman no.
