He took advantage of a naïve senior citizen and pushed for a lower sale price, suggesting that I sell to this interested buyer before my house officially went on the market, thereby saving himself advertising costs, because he doubted I would realize a better price from any other buyer. Even after all this time, his machinations still rankle me and I mentally lash myself for not doing my homework: investigating the type of legal contracts allowed in Massachusetts, opting for an outside price evaluation, and hiring a lawyer to look into all the details of the house sale and contract.
Description of Work: Sam Pasquantonio neglected to tell me that he represented the buyer before he fixed the sale price of my house and that he worked for them as a dual agent. Throughout the proceedings I believed he worked for me since he never explained this conflict of interest. He just asked me to sign the page he handed me, folding over the contract. Foolishly, I signed on the dotted line without flipping over the folded pages and reading the entire document. Warning: Take the contract to your lawyer and read it carefully together.
