Remodeling Remedies

Generally, we have had a good experience. We're pretty happy with it. We're still working on a few issues, so there are still some things to address, but everything has been pretty good so far. With the weather and everything, we're waiting until spring to do the finishing touches, including gutters, a front porch railing, etc. I hope that when we finish these last touches, everything will warrant an A grade. His price was definitely a lot better than some of the other bids we received. He also has been doing a lot of work in town, so I knew he wasn't just underbidding to get our business. He did some extra work along the way that wasn't included in the quote, which we really appreciated. We had a nine-page contract, which we thought was great. In the end, we would probably add even more detail to avoid any confusion in the future. The main thing we aren't 100% happy with is that the job is not yet finished, which should be taken care of with no problem as soon as the weather clears up. To clarify, it's partly our choice not to finish the work in the wintertime, so it's not something we hold against Rick and his teams.
