The Bogart Finish

It went really well. Mike and his team have provided ongoing maintenance and repairs to our rental property. Always respectful of our tenants and takes ownership for a great job.

It came out exactly as planned, drawn and imagined. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. Some delays happened as is the case in most remodels due to conditions in the field which required unexpected work but it's good to know everything is as it should be a before walls are closed up and finished.

Mike of The Bogart Finish is fantastic at anything Construction related. He knows what he's doing, he's responsive and reasonably priced. In a world where people don't return phone calls and don' t do what they say they will, Mike is the exception! He's articulate and very clear at the start of a project so there are no surprises, I can't say enough about how happy I've been with his work.

He did a glassed-in porch for us, but he never really completed the job! It STILL doesn't close properly! We asked him time and again to come fix it, then he consistently refused or did not even respond. On that note, his communication was terrible, and sometimes we would not hear from him for weeks on end. He completed the job months behind schedule. But he was very communicative once the bill was due! He left paint and wood chips all over after he was done, it was a very messy work site even though it was a small job, the door still doesn't close two years later, and the paint job is poor so it is weathering very quickly. I am sorely disappointed with this job, and still surprised that he did not feel compelled to come fix a door that did not even close. On the plus side, the porch is exactly as we pictured it. Too bad but all these other setbacks.

We ended up going with another handyman who gave us a lower quote. The quotes were competitive.

We were very happy with all the jobs we had done by The Bogart Finish. The jobs all went very well. The workers were very professional, showed up on time and on the days they said they would, which is a pleasant switch from most contractors. They tried to minimize the disruption as much as possible. Mike Bogart goes the extra mile to make sure you get what you want and that you are happy with the final results. He gives great suggestions and ideas. We knew we wanted to create a bed for our daughter from an existing built in bench, but weren't sure what we wanted it to look like - Mike gave us some great ideas and was able to build a matching headboard that fit in perfectly with the existing woodwork. When we redid out porch railing, they made sure they built it to code and did a really neat, quality job. He will complete jobs quickly, but you don't feel like he is rushing to get on to the next job. Mike is extremely honest and will not try to gouge you on pricing. We were really happy with their work and will definitely use them again.
