Pi Piper

Ale and Dave know what they're doing, collective 40+ years of experience. Our previous serviceman didn't install the Navien unit correctly, so it failed within three years, pipes melted, a saw was required. Dave immediately diagnosed reasons for failure onsite, incorrect exhaust piping, absence of overflow piping below the unit, just basically wrong all around, wouldn't pass inspection. The two did an excellent job installing the replacement unit in one day removing archaic piping from a tanked system and installing brand new copper piping customized for our setup. Dave is Navien Certified which is key, visits headquarters in NJ every so often, which for the past 10 years grants him a direct line to specialized Navien support via pin. Best and most important of all, they are quick to respond to calls. Within minutes I got a call back. It's common practice in this industry get no response (as with our previous serviceman), but they will get back to you. Visually speaking, they did a great job, and one year later the unit is very happy.

All of the jobs he's done have gone well. I'll continue calling him when plumbing problems come up.

I fancied myself a plumber, figuring to install a kickspace heater myself over the weekend.  I soon realized I was out of my league!  I consulted Angie's List and gave Pi Piper a call early Sunday evening; I left a message.  Ale called back within 10 minutes.  The next morning he and his son arrived on time, did the job RIGHT with good humor and full explanation.  The kickspace heater works like a charm, but even more important, I found a plumber I can call and can trust.  I will call Pi Piper again - they are professionals and will do the job right!

The laundry space in my recently purchased house was inadequate, non-functional, and poorly designed. The Pi Piper, Inc. (Ale Mark and David Mark, a father-and-son team) did an outstanding job setting up my new laundry room, and I can't say enough about their professionalism and excellent workmanship.

It was near 12 midnight Friday night when I discovered a water puddle in the basement that seemed to be coming from a loose water-line connection in the kitchen refrigerator. Although it may sound minor, the water leak into the subfloor may cause significant damage, to say nothing of the freshly-painted basement walls and ceiling, and so I got on the phone calling the 24-hour plumbers in the area. PiPiper (Mr. Ale Mark) was the only plumber (out of the 6 or so I called) who was willing to come over this late in the night. I liked the guy and, later, contracted him to set up my new laundry room.

I called and left a message with his answering service.  He immediately returned my call.  Arrived within a few hours.  Carefully removed the drain and poured out water.  Was able to get source of clogging.  Suggested more plumbing to help resolve issues which I declined.  Courteous, enthusiastic and chatty.  I would use these people again.

We like them. We really like him as a plumber. He's an excellent plumber. It has all been good quality and it has all been fairly priced. You can say nice things about him.

I made an emergency call to Pi Piper after one of our pipes burst. They came over immediately, did great work, and got us up and running again less than 2 hours after the pipe burst. They were very courteous, understanding, and quick!

We were very pleased.

We recently moved into a new home and just noticed a gas smell from the stove.  Gas company diagnosed a small leak so we had to look for a plumber.  We called Ale based on Angie's list reviews.  
He personally responded to our call right away and scheduled us the next morning (non emergency).  He and his son came on time and quickly figured out the leak.  The repair required minor rerouting of the existing pipe but in a tight location - Ale figured it out without a problem.  
I was happy to find a good plumber on short notice and will definitely be calling him again in the future.

It was very short notice, and Ale was very nice to accommodate me. They came sharp on time, and were very professional and clean. Would certainly recommend them to show up on short notice.

He was incredibly responsive and willing to do a small job on quick notice.

This is actually the second time I've used Ale, although this is the first time since I've been an Angie's list member. Both times Ale has  been very prompt in getting back to me and getting to my place to fix the problem but he is expensive so this time I first I called another company listed on Angie's list but that company, although highly rated, never responsed and so I called Ale and sure enough, Ale called right back and got to my home that morning and fixed the problem immediately. He's not cheap but I will say that he follows through promptly and gets the job done which definitely helps to justify his fee. I would  absolutely use Ale again on emergency jobs and would at least get a competitive bid from him on a remodeling or new project because he is definitely a very good plumber.

Even though there was a water connection (to the washing machine) nearby, Ale ran the water line from under the kitchen sink.  He said that the washing machine would compete with the ice maker when it was running.  Ale was on-time, friendly, competent and professional.  He got right to the little project and finished within a reasonable amount of time.  We recommend him and would use him again.

We were not informed of the $50 surcharge for going outside their covered area.  This was on top of the $100 house call fee.  He did nothing.  His assistant  shook the  dryer hose, which ripped it.  When I questioned the charges, he claimed he had 'taken apart the dryer' and cleaned it thoroughly.   Neither he nor his assistant did any such thing.   Ale did some good work for me and my family in the past, and I used to recommend him far and wide.  Not any more.

Wonderful company-highly recommend. Timely, cost conscious, professional, w/great communication & followup.Have since recommended this firm to friends and neighbors- all of which had simmular positive experiences. Only wish they did electrical too!

I can't say enough about the quick service, attention to detail, economical pricing  and reliability. Truly masters of their craft!

Ale performed his services on time, as described, and with expertise.  The most impressive part...he tolerated me...an ignorant homeowner with lots of questions. 

I Called Ale the Pi Piper on Monday.  They called back quickly and I was able to book an appointment for the next day.  They were here on time and got right to work.  I was going to replace a toilet and the shut off valve would not work and was leaking.  They replaced the valve quickly and then offered to install the toilet for 350 total.  I said sure.  I am glad I did.  Once they remove the old toilet, they found the the flange was broken.  There is no way I would have been able to replace that myself.  So they added on an additional 150 and replaced the flange.  Then they installed the toilet.  I could not be happier.
