It went great, as per the scope detailed in the agreement, plus extensive and additional guidance and explanations on key elements and systems that were subject to the inspection (i.e. heating system, A/C, plumbing, electrical installations, fire protection, fire place maintenance, etc) and recommendations for ongoing maintenance

As a first time home buyer, I have been learning on the fly as I go through the buying process. Jason was an outstanding resource to us during the home inspection and we learned a lot about our new home and home ownership in general! Jason was thorough, patient, and kind. Mr Sobol performed an inspection of a 1700 sq ft home in Shrewsbury. He made himself available on short notice. This was my 4th home purchase, and I know a few things - but, he found several things that I missed. He was eager to explain the tradeoffs and the concerns about various items. Ultimately, his findings led to an additional $9k of consideration from the seller. Though he did not estimate the work, his report allowed me to create an estimate spreadsheet that allowed me to negotiate from a well-informed position.

Jason was an excellent home inspector. As he did his inspection, he explained to us what he was inspecting and what was important for us to know at that time and in the near future. This was very helpful and informational for us since this was our first time buying a home. He was very professional and friendly and a pleasure to work with! We could tell he was very knowledgeable and experienced as a home inspector. Jason was also very kind and he made the home inspection experience for us a good one with almost no stress and we thank him for that.

My wife and I have used Jason for two homes, both first homes for us actually! The first was a home from 1892, and Jason was fantastic! He was incredibly thorough, explained in plain English every nook & cranny of the home, and repeatedly reminded us that there were 'no dumb questions.' His report was detailed and allowed us to make the best decision. As a historic home, it took a bit longer than maybe a more modern home- but Jason waded through the details with us for the necessary 5+ hours to make sure everything was as seemed in a home of that age and condition. We ultimately did not end up buying that house and purchased a separate home- of which Jason was our inspector as well. He was just as thorough, just as great to work with, and we really felt as though he was on OUR side during the inspection, and not simply there to complete a transaction. The home buying process, especially for first timers, can be very daunting- but we felt in great hands having Jason do our inspection.

Jason clearly exceeded our expectations. He patiently explained what he was looking at and why, answered our questions in words we could easily understand and was ultra professional in all interactions. We would certainly use his services, if necessary, in the future. His time and expertise were well worth his fee. Couldn't be more pleased.

Jason was terrific. Very acute attention to detail, left nothing unchecked and un tested, walked me through the house as he did the inspection and patiently answered every question I had. The final report, delivered the next day, was amazingly detailed 53-page document with pictures of everything for documentation and ease of communication back to the seller. The report was well organized, with issues grouped into type/severity of issue with easy navigable links to quickly jump around the report. Jason agreed to do the inspection on very short notice and arrived ahead of time. He gets FIVE SHINING STARS from me. GREAT JOB!!

Jason did a fantastic job with our home inspection last week...he spent a lot of time reviewing and explaining everything and was responsive at all times. Before and even after the inspection he was available to answer questions. This was not our first home inspection so we've done this before and Jason is one of the best I've worked with. We also did the Radon inspection and Jason was clear in explaining what to do when we picked up the test and dropped it off at the lab for expedited processing. We also needed to confirm that the boiler vented correctly out a lined chimney and Jason went above and beyond to ensure things were done correctly....even climbing up on the roof! The inspection was scheduled for the next day and went extremely well! Jason was very knowledgeable and had great insight into everything. He was able to perform a very thorough inspection both on the inside and outside of the houses, documenting any issues and taking pictures of everything that had been looked at. He took the time to explain why things where the way they were, how much of a life they had left, and what would need to be done in order to mitigate or fix the issue. I learned more about this house and how to care for it than I could of from living in it for a year! The report that followed the inspection was very detailed and provided everything that we had discussed during the inspection along with photos and recommendations from Jason on each item. I would recommend Jason's services for anyone who needs an inspection!

Jason was great - the inspection was extremely thorough and we learned a lot not only about the state of the house, but maintenance and what we can expect moving forward, as well as things to follow up with with the seller.
