They've done work for the church a number of times over the years and we've always been pleased with their work. We began thinking of painting only part of the building, then kept adding to the project; Bud was patient and thorough with each revision. I ended up being a far more extensive job than we've every done but the pricing was very competitive. The building looks amazing and I expect this job will last a long time, so the value received will be excellent. The crew was really hard working, took great care of the building and were super nice throughout the project. They kept me up to date on the carpentry work and went the extra mile to track down half round trim to make sure that where they had to replace rotted window trim, the new work would match existing windows. We ran into more carpentry work than originally planning and they were very responsive in helping me stay within the contingency budget I had planned for. We have some interior painting to do in the next year or so and they will be the first company I call for a proposal.

We talked to 3 other painters and Painter's Pride was the best price and one of 2 that were very thorough and professional. The other 2 companies didn't really seem to want the project so their price and/or responsiveness weren't at the same level. I need to get final approval of the board of the church but then we will schedule the work to be done this summer.

We have used Painter's Pride for the last 8 years for many jobs. They have done interior and exterior paint work for us, as well as minor carpentry repairs. Gayle Thompson has always provided excellent estimates and overseen each job with professionalism and promptness. She has even helped us pick out colors in the past. The crews work quickly. They are friendly and neat.
Over the years, we only ever had one problem (sloppy paint work) which was quickly remedied by Gayle who immediately sent out a new crew to redo the job at no cost. They have always done a great job and we will continue to hire them in the future.

Bud is the best painting contractor, and perhaps the best overall contractor, we have worked with in the past 10 years. He defines professionalism and is an expert with Churches and historic structures. He helped us to find economical solutions for our rather unique situation (and in fact argued forcefully against more expensive options). His crew was diligent and respectful. Any concerns that came up were handled promptly.
You can find less expensive bids out there (we did), and more expensive bids (we did, too). But Painter's Pride in a sense offers the best of both worlds: they are experts, and offer offer top-notch, high-end results, without compromise. But at the same time they offer reasonable prices for that quality. Let me be clear: you will pay more for these guys than for a and quot;cheap and dirtyand quot; outfit. But the extra cost will be worth it. You'll be buying quality and you'll get it. At the same time, some more famous high-end outfits charge extraordinarily high rates, leaving the impression that they inflate their prices simply because they can. Not so with Painter's Pride. With Bud, you get top-notch quality and advice at reasonable price.
So don't choose Bud if you want a quick and dirty job. But if you want expert advice and craftsmanship from an intelligent and seasoned professional with a skilled crew, and work that will serve you for years to come, but don't want to feel gouged, we are glad to highly recommend Bud.

They did a good job, there was no mess or paint splatter. Wall prep could have been better, a few nails and picture hangers left in place. They may have assumed we would be rehanging in which case it would have been a courtesy, so probably just poor communication. I have used them before and will use them again.

Great competetive price. Have full crews so work goes along at agood pace. They should not offer small carpentry jobs. Improperly did shingle repairs causing a small leak. They reponded quickly for pricing and getting the work done. They spray and the brush in so probably not as much paint as typical brush only.

Although their quote was not the most professionally-produced one we saw, it was reasonably complete. We chose them because they were relatively local, and their price for carpentry work was lower than that of other firms we checked. As the job turned out to have around 150 hours of carpentry, this was an important consideration.
The carpentry work was done, but it generated an enormous pile of scrap wood, which was removed after about a week. The work was done well, from what I can tell.
The painting proper was good. The crew was responsive to requests for touch-ups and fixes, although I would have been more impressed had the foreman, Marcos, picked up on these before I spotted them.
At some point, the painters broke a window, and they took care of that repair.
All the crew members had English as a second language, and it was sometimes difficult to communicate with them because of this. Gayle, who first quoted the job, was very easy to work with.
In summary, the work was good, the crew talented (but a bit hard to communicate with), and the price a bit high (but appropriate for the work done). They were conscientious, responsible and hard working. I'd consider them work work next time, which I hope won't be needed for a while, considering they used PVC instead of wood to avoid future rot.

Johnny Kelly and his men were efficient, courteous, kept areas clean, left no spots of paint, removed trash, asked questions, did not assume-made sure of what I wanted done. Submitted price for the job and all supplies were included. I am very pleased with their work.

They were prompt, worked hard and fast... too fast. Did not do as much wall preparation as needed. Very knowledgeable. Did cut corners to save time ... removing light fixtures for example. Were very responsive to fixing mistakes and returning to do so. They are by far cheaper than other companies I quoted and do quality work, but need close supervision to be sure work is thorough. The sales manager/contact person is good and easy to work with. I do recommend them.

Everything went very well. Great people. Showed up when expected. They were very courteous at all times. They even replaced the outside floodlight light bulbs while they were up on their high ladders.

He is very professional. He was extremely reasonable as well. He is very personable, as well. He is easy to work with and he checks on his guys, which is kind of nice. The clean-up was great. I'm very fussy, and there were no problems.

Very professional - they provided a detailed quote, arrived and finished on time. They were very thorough about taping non-painted surfaces such as our porch light fixture, doorknobs and electric meter. They did a good job cleaning up and the paint looks great!

only weather delays, the crew did an excellent job, additional work was added during the project. Gayle was always accesible during the project.

Painters Pride did an excellent job. Our house, which has been painted on 2 other occasions, never looked better! Gayle, who managed the work and priced it, was a total pleasure to work with. We wanted to paint only the worn two sides. She said they would look ridiculous. She was right. We had to postpone the start date a few times and she was most accommodating. Whenever we had questions about the job, she had the answers we needed. She was so informative and professional. I thought we'd get a good paint job. We got so much more than that. Found Painter's Pride through the Angie's List website. We booked the job more than 2 weeks in advance. I got more than my money's worth. The estimate was right on. We chose them because they had a great price, gave a great (helpful...educational) estimate and they had integrity...honesty...they stood by their work. This was the first time we used Painters Pride. They were easy to talk to. They did a great job with the paint.

THEY WERE FLEXIBLE IN NEGOTIATING A GOOD PRICE.
