ONLY FLOORING INC

A few weeks after the installation, I noticed a small wet spot on the floor between dishwasher and refrigerator. I checked for leaks but found none. A few days later, I came down to kitchen in stocking feet rather than slippers and discovered more water, this time discovering that it was coming up between tiles. Moving the refrigerator to check for a water source we found the copper water supply to ice maker had a slight leak (probably from the fridge being moved for installation). Also discovered an 18" section under the fridge which was not grouted, allowing the water to seep under the floor tiles and spread at least 6 feet, undermining both the adhesive and grout (all water based). I called the Sudbury store and got no answer. I called every number listed for every location of Only Flooring and got no one. I drove to the Sudbury location to find a sign on the door left by property management that the business has just vanished leaving everything behind. I was one of the lucky customers because at least I got the product I paid for and the installation (though somewhat flawed). Note: This report applies to all locations of Only Flooring and owner Jerry Rubin. All locations closed their doors as of January 2008.

THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE FROM START TO FINISH WENT WITHOUT A HITCH. THE CREW FIRST HAD TO TAKE UP OLD LINO FLOOR AND 1/2 SUBFLOOR BEFORE INSTALLING THE DURAROCK AND TILE. THEY WERE NEAT AND PROFESSIONAL, AND LEFT NO TRACE THEY WERE THERE AT THE END OF THE DAY. IT WAS A FOUR DAY JOB AND THE RESULTS WERE TERRIFIC.
