We converted a 3-season porch into a 4-season sunroom and added a new deck in the backyard attached to it. Ken oversaw the project from start to finish for us. He did much of the work himself, but also pulled in a designer, a plumber and an electrician to assist along the way. He provided us a good vision of the project and guided us through the whole process with lots of good suggestions on style and material choice (e.g. maintenance-free deck boards and energy-efficient windows). Good communication overall and the final product turned out nicely. Ken is diligent, trustworthy, and displays good craftsmanship. The project did take a little longer than expected, but quality was a higher priority for us. Would definitely hire again.

Ken added a bathroom to the second floor of our house. The schedule was much longer than originally planned (work was planned to be ~2 months, took just under ~5 months after we got the permits), but otherwise great craftsmanship. We're happy with the results.

Ken has the vision to see the project through, start to finish. He also listened to our input and was always willing to change or accommodate to our needs. Ken dealt with all permits, inspections, and sub-contractors whenever required. Ken turned a 1970's rumpus room into a room that should be upstairs in our home, not downstairs as the basement in our home. Ken was a phone call away (answered respectively) during the entire job. I would not hesitate to work with Ken again should the opportunity arise.

Ken at KDS Development did an amazing job from demolition to finish work. He updated and expanded our 1978 kitchen into a contemporary New England masterpiece! Ken is a great, reliable guy and he did an amazing job repairing some very water damaged/disintegrated framing (rim joist, sill plate and associated support, and floor joists) under an old sliding glass door that we needed to replace. He did the job the right way and was very thorough, coming back several times to make sure the new door was water tight. He even re-flashed our deck when he noticed there was still a very small leak after the slider was replaced (he didnâ t replace the door, but wish we would have had him do it instead of Power). If you are looking for a trustworthy contractor, look no further than KDS development. He will be our first call choice on our upcoming bathroom/closet renovation

We are so happy with how our home renovation turned out. This is not our first project with Ken. He is precise, responsive and is always willing to take the time to brainstorm ideas. He is mindful of cost and time and will go above and beyond to problem solve to get the most effective and safe outcome. He is a hard worker and uses trustworthy subcontractors. Also, we ended up finishing this renovation during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Ken was mindful and successful at social distancing, minimizing any risk of contact. If we ever need any other work done on our home we will go to him!

Ken is an absolute pro. We reached out to multiple contractors for our basement remodel, and we immediately knew Ken was the right person for the job. He was enthusiastic and could see our vision. He remodeled our basement into a laundry room and play room, as well as added a new custom closet to our master bedroom. Our house was built in the 1920s and in our eyes it was not an easy project, but to Ken, he welcomed the project and managed it flawlessly. He worked with us each step of the way and was an excellent communicator. Between the electricians, plaster, plumbers, and painters, he brought in to help complete the job, we trusted all of them and they all did amazing work. Ken also did a lot of custom shelving work for us and we could not be happier with our new storage solutions. He also did a great job keeping with the character of our house. He matched the molding and doors to remain consistent throughout the house. Ken was a dream to work with. He reviewed every step of the remodel with us, and made sure we were happy with every detail. If we weren't - he would change or modify to ensure we were. His custom cabinetry work is fantastic and he puts a lot of thought and pays close attention to detail. I highly recommend KDS!

This was a perfect experience. Ken responded quickly and showed up when he said he would. He explained everything before starting and then we have a discussion at the end of the day about what was completed and next steps. He always kept us informed. All the work was done with quality and quality materials. I would give him my highest recommendation and would hire him again.

build in cabinets , door and trim

I hired Ken of KDS Development for the gut renovation of a duplex: New plaster walls and ceilings, new electricity, new plumbing and heating; replacement of a kitchen, a bathroom and a half-bath; a significant portion of the floor plan was changed with several walls shifted to create new rooms; one external entrance door, stairway and window were relocated. This was a big job that lasted several months. Ken himself did the carpentry, joinery, concrete, and was master contractor for the other specialties. Overall, he did a very good job for a reasonable price. The customer (me) was happy, and I would hire him again.

Ken worked very hard to ensure the entire refinish project was completed in a satisfactory way and it turned out excellent. He stayed within budget, except for changes/upgrades which I requested and we discussed in advance (options/cost, etc.). Ken also made sure that we knew he was available (and he was!) for any questions, which helps to move the project forward for all parties. I would hire him again.

Our project consisted of installation of crown molding as well as a full bathroom renovation. The quality of the work was excellent. Ken is very trustworthy and communicates well. He was always accessible and honest with what needed to be done and what the timeframe was. If things changed he quickly communicated any changes. He also offered good solutions to any problems he encountered during the renovation. I would use him for other home improvement projects and would recommend him to others.
