We were not looking forward to this project and had a couple people come in to quote the job. Jim was referred by a neighbor who spoke very highly of him and his work. We hired him and this could not have been any smoother and painless for us. The roof and gutter look absolutely amazing and they left no trace of being here...not a nail, scrap, or anything in the yard or shrubs. Jim turned out to be a really nice guy and he made sure everything was done to perfection. He was responsive, did what he said he would..when he said he would. He was prompt, professional and skilled. He was there (on my roof) with his people and the entire job was done in one day. The reason I mention this is that we had a couple people come in to quote us and went through a big song and dance and when I asked if they would be the ones to do the work, they informed me that they were just salespeople. Anyway, the dumpster was gone by the time I got home from work! I have done a couple other projects over the past couple years and they turned out to be a big headache but, this could not have been better. Not sure what else to say but I would highly recommend JC Roofing. I hope this review is helpful in your search...

I just called this company--spoke to Jim--to ask about researching their records to identify the shingle used on the roof of the home I purchased. I explained that the roof installation was done in 2005/2006 and that I was not the property owner at the time. Secondarily, I asked if the warranty carried over to new owners. Jim supplied a satisfactory response about the warranty.
At Jim's request, I supplied an overview of anticipated work; although, I thought it was irrelevant to fulfilling my request for real, objective data on the roofing material that was installed. In response to my overview, Jim remarked that it would be up to the current contractor to re-shingle with whatever that contractor obtained and that it wasn't likely, after so much time, that the shingles could be matched anyway. Neither of those comments addressed my original request for historical information. I reiterated my inquiry about researching records of previously executed work, stating that I assumed they kept such records. I expressed some frustration with our exchange by likening it to and quot;pulling teethand quot;.
Jim's response was to hang up. I did leave a follow-up phone message to give the benefit of the doubt that we were disconnected. I will update this review if my call is returned and a direct response to my question is obtained, but I am not confident that I will have a need to do so.
There were no raised voices on either end during this exchange, which lasted about five minutes. That said, it was clear early on in our conversation and Jim's tone of voice that my questions were somewhat of a distraction. We especially got off track after talking about the warranty when Jim asked about the proposed work. I'm not sure that a request for records requires justification. Furthermore, I was not requesting Jim's opinion of my need or lack of need for that information.
I have a sense that Jim is a hands-on roofing craftsman and that paperwork, especially dated paperwork, is not a favored focus. I empathize with that. I did not ask that this request be fulfilled immediately. I also did not refute what Jim said about new work and matching the shingles; however, Jim's response was off-point to my request for real, objective data about the roofing materials used. Furthermore, hanging up shows a level of professionalism with respect to customer service that negates--in my view--the quality of work and the overall experience one might receive from JC Roofing.

They came a day early just to inspect the roof and came the day we agreed on and it was done that day. The true test was the first major rainstorm and no more leaks! And Antonio assured me that they would come back if anything happened. Fortunately it has been fine.

He's very good. When I called he answered the phone himself. He happened to be working close by and said he would come over if he could. About 2 hours later he came to check the roof. Half of the roof was about 5 years newer than the other side and he was the only person doing an estimate that offered to do half of the roof now and half later when it needed to be done, and would not charge me more like other companies said it would. I ended up having the whole roof redone, but it was nice to know I had the option. He is on the job with the crew and inspects the roof as everything is being taken off to make sure there is nothing rotten that needs to be replaced.

It was a great experience. It was a busy time in his season, but he found the time to give us a repair that we really needed.

Jim did quality work. Also, cleaned up all debris. We recommended Jim to others who were also pleased with his work/price.

Jim was highly recommended by several neighbors on my street, and he was as good as the recommendations! He was prompt, courteous, and clear at every stage. He even listened to classical music while working, which was pleasant. His price was extremely competitive, and he even gives a 5% discount for paying in cash.

Called them about repair of a ridge vent. They called back promptly and were polite and helpful, but I was outside the area in which they work.
