Extremely happy with the work German has been doing for us over the last few years of our home renovation. Our reno has been a long, on-going grind that has required a high demand of German's time and expertise. With that said, he has always been patient with our unpredictable timeline and willing to work with us no matter how last minute a design change needed to happen. His workmanship is highly professional and efficient and his system of itemizing, cost estimation and budgeting the work we needed was extremely helpful and transparent. Our home project has been a challenge and for most electricians it would have been seen as a burden to avoid so we will always be grateful that he decided to work with us. We have no regrets and would highly recommend German and his team.

My former electrician retired, and I needed to find a new electrician to install a wall light fixture and disable a ceiling heat lamp in my upstairs bathroom. I consulted Angie’s List and obtained several recommendations, including Linares Electric. Prior to booking an appointment with Linares, I called another electrician who said up front that they charged a “dispatch fee.” My former electrician had never charged a dispatch fee, so I wanted to find another electrician who also did not. I called the Linares office and spoke with a man named José to review the work and to obtain a rough estimate. I specifically asked him if Linares charged a base fee or dispatch fee on top of the actual cost of the work. José specifically responded that Linares did not charge such a fee – that they only charged for the actual work performed. I asked this question of José twice and was assured that they would not charge me for coming out to my home. José then provided a rough estimate of $160 to $300 for the work that I had described to him in detail over the phone. This all sounded reasonable, so I made an appointment. German Linares, the company owner, called me two hours before the appointment time to say that he was already in my area working and asked if he come early. I agreed. When Mr. Linares showed up, I showed him the work and told him that I was pleased that I would not be charged a dispatch fee, citing my conversation with his office. Mr. Linares smiled and said nothing. The figure he quoted me for the work was over $300, but under the final bill of $393. Mr. Linares completed the work to my satisfaction and was pleasant to work with. When he asked me to sign on his i-pad, he did not provide a detailed invoice for me to see. Trusting him, I went ahead and signed the i-pad. After he left, he sent me an e-copy of the invoice for $393, which included a $65 dispatch fee. I was utterly shocked. Thinking it might be an error, I immediately e-mailed Mr. Linares and brought this matter to his attention and asked for a credit of $65. He never responded to my e-mail. I am a retired woman. I believe that Mr. Linares overcharged me and took advantage of my age and my gender. Because I believe that character counts, I do not recommend him to others.

Linares replaced a hall fixture in our Boston property using a fixture we supplied. There was some complexity because the fixture did not fit as perfectly as we had hoped, but he made it work. Job was nicely done and he arrived promptly, was respectful of our tenants' time.

It went very well. Linares came with his helper. Updated the outlet and plug to accommodate the new air conditioner. They were polite, professional and efficient.

German was amazing. He came when he said he would, he was super professional and his work exceeded my expectations. He worked very closely with me so that I got what I wanted. Actually, he helped me to figure out what I wanted too, and made sure what I wanted and needed were in agreement with what the inspector will require. He was very patient with my lack of technical knowledge, and helped me in my role of diy general contractor by helping me organize the steps I need to take to complete our project. I will definitely hire German again. We have a 140 year old house that requires a lot of work. I fully trust him.

Both German and Carlos were very easy people to get along with. German provided fast and accurate quotes for the work to be done and was very professional. They took great care to make sure that they made as little of a mess as possible when installing as well. Given the fact that they were cutting 6 inch diameter holes in the ceiling they did a very good job keeping dust and debris off of our couch and floors and vacuumed up afterwards. I felt like they treated my home as if it was their home. Both me and my wife were extremely pleased with their work. I would definitely hire them again for future electrical projects and would highly recommend them to friends and family.

German and Carlos provided a very thourough inspection. They were very professional and easy to work with. I will highly recomned them to my family and friends and I will be sure to call them in the future.

He also cleans up well after he is finished and is just a very nice person. We love giving him the business and refer him to all of our friends.
