WE BOUGHT A HOUSE WITH AN AC SYSTEM INSTALLED BY GEORGE STEVENS. THE SYSTEM FAILED ON AUGUST 9. WE BEGAN CALLING THE COMPANY ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10. WE DID NOT RECEIVE A RETURN CALL UNTIL FRIDAY AUGUST 12. THEY SAID THEY WOULD TRY TO WORK US IN LATE IN THE DAY FRIDAY OR SATURDAY, BUT WOULD CALL BACK WHEN THEY KNEW. NOT HEARING FROM THEM, I CALLED BACK AND WAS LATER TOLD THAT THE ''EARLIEST'' THEY COULD GET IN TO FIX THE SYSTEM THAT THEY HAD INSTALLED WAS TUESDAY, AUGUST 16TH-- NEARLY A WEEK AFTER OUR FIRST CALL TO THEM. THIS WAS ONE OF THE HOTTEST WEEKS OF THE YEAR. DESPITE THE FACT THAT MY WIFE IS PREGNANT AND WAS EXTRAORDINARILY UNCOMFORTABLE, THEY COULD NOT HAVE CARED LESS THAT WE WERE SWEATING IT OUT.
