The town water line to my house failed. I called Ellingwood and they responded immediately with an inspection and estimate. Estimate was reasonable and repaired scheduled in a reasonable amount of time. Repair was made on schedule and they kept me informed of progress all throughout the process. Everyone was professional, kind, respectful and even funny! At one point I witnessed one of the gentleman literally take his shirt off his back to clean my mailbox. Well done. You have a new repeat customer!

About two weeks ago the water main in our basement broke and flooded our unfinished basement with a couple of inches of water. We were able to stop the water with the help of our fabulous Framingham fire department and a handy axe handle. I got three estimates and picked Ellingwood to do the work. Bill told me they had several big jobs to do and it might be the end of the next week before they could start. The he called me Saturday and said they were going to start on Monday ahead of those jobs. Yay!! They were here early morning with four guys. Unfortunately, they discovered that all the pipes in our house ran in the same trench (100 yo house!) and the water pipe was at the bottom. The several hour job turned into a two day job. The workers were great. They explained everything and tried not to get frustrated. The trench ended up being from the house all the way to the street and about four feet deep. Eversouce had to come disconnect an old electrical line also. I would definitely hire this crew again. Thanks again to the guys again at Ellingwood.

Ellingwood Construction systematically excavated along the septic system wall to trace the old copper line and ensured no leak was present. Then to minimize damage to the property, they re-routed it across our concrete driveway thru the side of our home into the downstairs guest bathroom. All excavation was refilled after the new line was installed and the driveway repaved. Although it took 6+ weeks to start work after original quote, all work was done on time and within budget.

It was really good. They dug up the yard to repair the waterline. They were very good to deal with. They were very responsive and professional.

The sewer at my home blocked on Saturday, September 20 and could not be cleared. A Monday morning video inspection determined that the line had collapsed. Bill turned up on Monday in the late morning to give an estimate.
He was straight forward, explained things really well and gave an estimate on the spot. It was good value so I accepted it right there. His crew of two arrived first thing on Tuesday and figured out the exact scale of the job very quickly. They opened up a trench out to the street and then further hands arrived to help install the new pipe, fill the trench and cleanup.
The job could not have been done better!
Bill was great. His crew was great and kept me in the picture throughout the job.

I am very happy with every aspect of this job.

The crew arrived at 7:30 and went right to work. There was a granite rock in the ground that could not be moved with the back hoe. The crew used a jackhammer to chip away the rock until it was below grade. This took some time, but they kept at it until it was low enough to pave over. Other paving contractors did not offer to chip out the rock if it could not be removed. Other pavers suggested that we'd have to hire a blasting company to take out the rock. That would've added OVER $1000 to the cost.
We were quite pleased with the work and the extension is exactly what we need. The crew brought in some extra dirt to feather the edge of the asphalt with the lower level of the grass at the edge.
They were not the cheapest estimate we received, but were close to it. Ellingwood Construction was the only company that would chip down the rock and put that detail in their contract.
We had used them in the past when we needed to replace the water line from our house to the town hook up. They did a great job then too.
I would use them again for other projects.

I can't say enough good things. Responded promptly when called for an estimate on a Friday afternoon and performed work the following Monday. The job involved more than they were planning but they stuck with their estimate which was very fair. We had some issues with our irrigation system and the next morning they were there to take a look and correct it. Really, a great experience overall. We were quoted about 2000.00 more from other contractors.
