The upstairs bathroom sink had overflowed, causing water damage to our kitchen ceiling.  Ned Predergast, the owner, was responsive and professional.  He came right away to give a quote, which was very reasonable.  They were able to schedule me right away.   The painter who came, Leo, was meticulous and did very high quality work.  Because they didn't prime the whole ceiling, the paint seemed to cause additional ceiling stains to appear.  After a little back and forth, Ned offered to have them prime and repaint the ceiling to make sure I was satisfied with the results.  I really felt like he was trying hard to ensure that I was pleased with the paint job.  They did a great job.  I now have a beautiful kitchen ceiling and Certa Pro has earned my next painting business.  Thank you, Ned and Leo.

There were may spots on my home that needed maintenance, but not enough to warrant a full top-to-bottom painting job.  Approach from Ned at CertaPro of Metrowest was to identify a list of all that needed to be addressed and the do the work on a time and materials basis.  In his experience, this type of maintenance work (e.g., replacing rotten window sills) can uncover other needed repairs making estimating this work difficult.  So we proceeded with the work under this arrangement.

I identified as much as I could of the following work items:

 - Replace window sills with rot

 - Replace vertical window trim pieces with rot with PVC trim

 - Replace rotten cedar siding shingles

 - Prep, prime and paint windows sills with peeling paint

 - Paint new, primed cedar siding shingles that were installed as part of new roofing job

 - Scrape, prime and paint various other areas of trim

All work was done quickly and professionally.  Carlos (the lead and the person who did the majority of the work) and, at times, one other person did the work over three + days.  He kept us informed of his schedule.

Once the work was completed, I performed a full walk-around and only identified two relatively minor issues to be added to the punch list.  These items were quickly addressed.

Timely, professional, polite and excellent work.  It was a difficult time of the year for painting in New England, but they broke the job into several days to take advantage of good weather.  They went ahead and replaced some wood that was not in the best shape, no charge, primed and painted along with the rest of the job.  Very pleased and will hire again.

the painters were very prompt and did a fine job.  there is an issue with the deck painting and they are coming back to fix it at our convenience.

The company returned my initial email request very promptly and Ned came to my house within 2 days to provide me with a quote for the work. The price was very reasonable, and they were able to schedule the work about 4 weeks later on one of two days that I requested. The day of service, 2 guys showed up at exactly 8:30, as I had been told, and immediately got to work. The 3 ceilings we needed painted each had small areas of water damage, from different issues. We had waited several months to make sure we had solved the water issue, and decided it was time to paint them all. I did have to remove all of the small or fragile items from the rooms before they came, but the painters moved my furniture to the center of the room,covered it, and then moved it all back before they left. One of the guys even asked if everything was put back in the right place. The rooms were,cleaned up- no drips on the floor, or white paint on the walls. Best of all, the ceilings look new with nothing left of the water spots. The small bathroom we needed refreshed was also perfect. It was a deep cranberry color that dulled with tile dust when the floor was replaced last fall. The bathroom looks stunning! We were very happy with the service and the results.

They had a lot of young kids that were very efficient. There was a problem with the supervisor taken ill so there was not an English speaking supervisor for the rest of the project. In spite of that the project went well.  

They did an excellent job, even patching some existing damage to the trim boards. I would highly recommend them.

I was thrilled.  They did wonderful work under difficult circumstances in a short time frame.  I had a week between the purchase of the house and move-in, with a lot of other work to be done as well.  They were flexible, worked well with the other contractors, painted everything perfectly, and cleaned up after themselves.  I cannot recommend them more highly!

They had to come back because of a miss communication error between the franchise owner and the contractor, and they took money off the total bill.

They did a very good job. They are very punctual about scheduling and appointments. They will correct anything that is needed immediately.

They did a great job. They were prompt, clean, and did a very neat job. Make sure to ask to have someone who speaks English. I had to wait a little longer for that but it was well worth it in the end.

Not only were they among the best priced, they did an absolutely fantastic job.  They were here for several days, and they prepped the house each day and returned it to livable every evening.  I work from home, so it was a special surprise to me how quiet they were when they were working during the day.  No impact at all on my work.  I highly recommend Ned and his team (Carlos was our main painter).

Certapro was one of  several companies that we had quoted, having just bought the house while relocating,  Ned was very professional during his inspection and quotation, and I was impressed that unlike other companies he was interested in staying within our budget.  What was most helpful was his help in determing what clapboard had to bo replaced now, vs what could wait for 4 - 5 years until the next paint cycle.

During the carpentry work we discovered that a window also needed replacement, and Ned and his crew were able to provide a quote and complete the window replacement without a delay to the job.

The painting went smoothly, and the results were as Ned promised in terms of how well they would improve the appearance of worn clapboard.  The painting occured in the Fall, and Ned had a crew come out in the Spring to take care of touch-up issues. 

I would sum this up as a contractor that does what they promise, and provide a clear understanding of what they can & will do.

It had been about 12 years since the last time we had the house painted (stained actually).  The old stain had started to chip and the sun fading was all too obvious.  Some of the trim was in various stages of rot.  We called CertaPro as one of 3 contractors to bid on the job.  They had the best price and were able to repair the trim themselves.  References were provided and checked out.  The owner, Ned, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.  Our discussions with him left us feeling that the job would be properly done.  They started on Monday and finished up the next Saturday morning.  They cleaned up each and every day.  All 3 members of the crew were friendly and willing to talk about what was going on that day.  One thing I did not expect was the painting of the rain gutters also (not the down spouts, which had, of course, been removed).  They now look brand new.  Extra stain/paint was left with us, as we requested.  I would definitely invite them in to bid on any future painting projects.  Of course, only time will tell whether or not the job was of the highest quality, but so far, so good.

They first crew that came out had some quality issues.  The person over seeing the crew worked hard to get the issues sorted out and eventually got a new crew in to finish and correct the work.  They bent over backwards to make things right.  They were competitively priced.  If you can get the right people, you will have a good experience.

We have worked with Certapro in the past with mixed results, but this time they were communicative and we got our quote quickly.  The work was arranged to our schedule and we were able to meet the contractor before the job began.  The contractor was polite and professional and juggled keeping our cats out of his area well.  He was meticulous and did more than was asking by cleaning up all the outlet covers and the plastic moulding from previous paint.  He had a small slip up when his coversheet slipped and some paint got on our bedding which he cleaned up.  Unfortunately, it also got under the bed where he couldn't see it and we have some staining on the rug.  We didn't mention this as we didn't notice it when he left. 
Our contractor was however a bit slower than originally expected and the job took 4 days rather than the one that we hoped for.  He communicated throughout the delay and we understood why (old paint was difficult to cover and was bleeding through after the first coat).

The end result is excellent with extremely precise painting, especially around the adjoining area of the closet and the bathroom where only the different colors seperated the two spaces. 

Overall a better experience with Certapro that our last contract with them which I did not write up.  They gave us a discount as returning customers which saved us about 10%.

My experience with them was great. They were really good and responsive. They did a good job and didn?t leave any mess. They followed through on what they said they were going to do. They weren?t the lowest, but they weren?t the highest either. I probably could have got the work done for cheaper, but I really didn?t trust the other guy. I would definitely use them again.

We were inpressed with the professionalism of the estimate process and felt that Ned Penderast knew what he was talking about. The price was slightly higher than another quote we got, but we felt we could trust Certapro better. They have an agreement with Sherwin Williams to help select paint colors and we took advantage of that. It was good because I don't know if we would have chosen the color that we ended up with and it works well. The day of painting was fine, they did the job in about 8 hours and it looked perfect. They cleaned up and except for the new paint smell, you would not have known it was just done. We were very happy.
