I thought it was expensive. Actually they told me the car was ready so I went down there and the car wasn't ready so I had to go all the way back home. It was a major hassle. Long story short, I had some issues with them, honestly. I had to go to work so I sent my wife and kid there to get the car and they had locked our key in the car, too. I thought they were expensive but I guess they were okay. When you tell someone the car is ready and you go there and it is not, it is a little aggravating. I lost a couple of hours there so I don't know how you can do that. It wasn't ready 3-1/2 hours after they said the car would be ready. The car runs good. I guess the responsiveness was okay. I did like the fact that when you went in there the guy was wearing a tie and they seemed professional and things like that. They have excellent ratings on Angie's List. I will give them another chance.

"[Member Name Removed], I am sorry that we where unable to satisfy you even though we were willing to allow you to bring your own parts for us to install and in the end we spent time to do that and the part was incorrect for your Lexus. By no means are we a struggling business having been in business since 1962. I also find it odd that this review is much different than another one that you provided when we emailed you a survey about your experience. I wish you well and hope that you can find the rental bay that you wish for or maybe you should try the night school at Keefe Technical school in Framingham where you can service your own vehicle during class. -Mike"

Bonded's staff was entirely professional throughout, did not give me any runaround as I've experienced with dealers, and did not charge labor for the needed repeat visits (just for additional parts totaling around $1500). They also assisted me in preparing documentation so that I could submit a claim to Ford for partial reimbursement of the repair costs (FoMoCo eventually cut a check for about 70% of the total cost). Most importantly, the transmission has been working perfectly without any problems for the past 7+ weeks. The only real negative aspect to my review was the need for multiple (approx 4) visits over a good portion of the summer for full resolution of the issue, two of which lasted approx a week. I did also need to contact them a few times to obtain status updates over the course of the repairs. However, Bonded did make things right and ultimately repaired the transmission properly.

Price is on the high side - even with a coupon I could have saved $200 by going to Firestone. Also the waiting area is tiny and not adequately heated, also there is very little to do nearby so unless it's a quick job or you can leave the car there, I wouldn't recommend waiting for it.

With the weather that we have been having and the resulting frost heaves in the area the only pass through door in the front of the building that has not been effected is the door to the front office so it does get cold but do you know if the heater in the :waiting" area was on? We do have plans to renovate the front office and the targeted date of completion was February 15th but that was before all the snow hit. I would love to get your input as to amenities that you would like to see in the waiting area before we complete it. As to the price, I am not sure what Firestone was going to do for $200 less or what quality of part they were going to use. That sounded good to me, so I took the car there. They were very polite and professional, took me to the rental car location, and I was on my way. Went back two mornings later, returned the rental car, and got my car back. The clutch is working properly, and I'm certainly pleased with the price. I must have saved at least $500 over the dealer's price.
