Mike was upfront with the cost, scheduled quickly, showed up on time, completed the repair and tune-up. Great price compared to some other places I looked and the added bonus was he came to my house to fix it here. Highly recommended!

Mike did a great job. He was courteous and kind. He took the time to educate me on my year old tractor as I have never owned one before. I will use his service in the Fall to have my snowblower  prepared for the winter. I do recommend this company.

This was/is a horrible February in the South of Boston area. Snow has been almost non-stop since the beginning of the month. There is currently about 4 feet of snow piled up and drifts up to 8 feet.
Wouldn't you know that my snow blower stopped working at the beginning of the month, apparently due to a belt that was slipping, and I wasn't able to get anyone to repair it - I even had trouble getting someone in to plow my 80 foot, uphill driveway.
Finally, I decided to join Angie's List and found Riverside Repair. Mike Plumer called me back right away and drove up to my house to have a look at the unit. There was no one home, but he called me several times to inform me of the status.
I agreed to have him repair it after hearing the detailed explanation of what the problem was.
He repaired it under my carport during MORE snow, on the day he evaluated it.
I'm grateful and happy to recommend his services. I never actually met him, but will certainly avail of his tune-up services next spring.

Once again, Mike has exceeded my expectations. He showed up on time and got right to business. Did all the maintenance right on my driveway . This is the only way to get your yard equipment serviced. He's a nice guy - professional and knowledgeable . Gave me a discount for multiple jobs.

Mike was great. He found a simpler problem to fix than I had anticipated and the cost was less than he estimated as a result. He could have easily charged me more and I would have been none the wiser and just as happy with the result. It's very nice dealing with someone who is both very competent and very honest.

Mike was very prompt in answering our phone calls. He was also available quickly to come out and look at our lawn mower. He did an excellent job - our lawn mower now works like new!

This gentleman returned my call within an hour, arrived at the exact day and time promised, did a great job servicing the tractor (including fixing a couple extra things), and left the driveway spotless. By coming to my house he saved me trailering charges, and the tractor runs better than when it was serviced elsewhere previously for a higher price.

Mike continues to be a real professional. Decided to have him back for my snow blower (2006 Craftsman), which was starting to run on the rough side.
Mike showed up right on time, and immediately started it up. He explained why it was running rough (new fuel has ethanol in it and small engines do not run well with it. I'm also guilty of improper winter storage), and how I can prevent it from happening in the future. He really took his time with it, spending a good 1.5 hrs getting it running perfectly. He went over everything, and I couldn't be happier with the service. He really knows his stuff and seems happy to explain everything and anything you want him to.
He deserves a AA rating!

I contacted Mike for a service call for my lawn tractor (2008 Craftsman DYS4500 ) because it was starting to leave stripes of higher grass, and just needed a good going over by a professional. Mike's ability to do the work at my house was HUGE because I have no way of bringing it to a shop myself.
Mike arrived on time, and was very professional. All work was performed as promised, and tractor continues to run great and cuts the lawn well/level.
Mike will be a regular part of my tractor and snow blower's lives from now on. Great job at a very fair and reasonable price.

Called and spoke to Mike. He came out the next day to the house. Other tractor repair shops told me 3 weeks and charge over $75 to transport the tractor; could not let the lawn go for 3 weeks in the summer! Mike diagnosed the problem on our 10 yr old Deere tractor in about 15 minutes - selenoid was dead. He clearly knows these machines inside out. He replaced the selenoid, gave it a tune up, and also installed a gas shutoff. Very informative about what is important to take care of and when on this and other machines; gave me lots of tips. He also looked at push mower and found the drive control was dead; he looked up the part online which turned out to be expensive. He advised getting a new mower rather than having him do the work. Very honest and forthright. Tractor has worked fine since. Will definitely continue to use him for our maintenance needs.

I would recommend Mike to anyone who needs this type of service. He responded to my call promptly and set up an appointment for the following day. I was having trouble with a very old lawn mower rider that would not start and he fixed it and it is working fine. This mower has been repaired just a few months ago by another contractor and it wasn't fixed correctly. Mike solved the problem and I should be able to get thru the rest of the mowing season.

Riverside was truly excellent to work with. They promptly returned my phone call, scheduled service within a couple of days, and had the lawn mower repaired and back to me within 2 days. Their service included on-site repair. In my instance, the machine needed to back to their shop for an ignition coil replacement. They had the machine back in my driveway a day and half later, running sweetly and looking clean and new! Fantastic service at an excellent price. I strongly recommend them and have every intention of using them for all future work.

We have used their service before for our snowblower and they were great. Needed service and a battery replacement on our lawnmower and they were the first ones we called. Quick response to service request, came out to our house and did the repairs as needed. Explained everything that was being completed and what needed to be done, then completed the tune-up and battery changed in a timely manner. Offered to do a follow up if we weren't pleased or we were still having problems with our lawnmower. Overall great experience with Riverside Repair and we will definitely use them again!
