Prevett Heating & Cooling

We were pleased with the service we received as well as the minor repairs done.

Called these people because they say they service Goodman furnaces and honor the Goodman Assure warranty. But they failed to diagnose and repair my furnace. Instead, they charged me a $185 fee for "preventative maintenance" on my broken furnace. Worse still, they claimed the problem with my furnace was that it was "overheating and oversized." They offered to replace my less than one year old furnace.. for $5,000. I had to get another company to come out and repair my furnace (quickly diagnosed as just a faulty control board and fixed under Goodman warranty without charge). Before posting this review I did contact the tech who came to my house, Glen H. at Prevett. I explained that I felt at least a partial refund of their fee was in order because they failed to correctly diagnose or repair my furnace under warranty. Although Glen H. said he was the "General Manager" of the business, he said he would have to check with his boss about a partial refund and call me back. That was days ago. I have not heard from him or anyone at Prevett and don't expect to. Beware.

The repairman arrived within a few hours of my call, promptly diagnosed the problem, and repaired the unit in less than an hour. He was very friendly and professional, and even took time to show me the duct bypass valves in the attic. I would definitely use Prevett Heating and Cooling again!

They were great. Glen came right at soon after I called and fixed the problem immediately. He was great!!

After having another company, who installed the system 3 years prior, make several trips out to fix the problem, which they mis-diagnosed every time, I decided to try another company. I contacted Prevett Heating and Cooling and they sent a technician out the next day. After spending approximately 20 minutes, the technician found the problem, replaced the part and had my system back up and running in a little over an hour!!!! The technician was very professional and explained in detail everything that was wrong and what had to be repaired. I highly recommend Prevett Heating and Cooling. It was an A+ experience from the original phone call to their office to the technician leaving!!!!!!!!!!

Team did an amazing job.  Work was meticulous and done on time / budget.  Duct work was neatly laid in the attic and ducts in closets down to first floor are virtually not noticeable.  Could not have been happier with the service.

The were on time and quickly diagnosed the problem and replace the thermostats.  The also adjusted the venting of the upstairs system to get more into the master bath, eliminating the need for additional heat sources in that bathroom on cold mornings.

Company did all work in one day. They were very professional, made sure they did not track any dirt into the house and did not leave until they were sure the unit was working correctly. They cleaned up all packing materials and left everything clean as a whistle.

It went well; in all honesty, it was about a year ago and I don't remember the details of the work.  But the company was rewardingly prompt and got the job done ASAP.

Chris was friendly and polite.  He did his work quickly and the house was beautifully cool within an hour after he left.  I'm very happy and would highly recommend Chris and Prevett.

They came within minutes of being called, which was both good in the prompt response and stressful in that I had to leave in 30 minutes (which I said to the dispatcher).  The problem required longer than that to solve, but fortunately by chance I was able to have an adult in the house to supervise and pay the worker (my apologies to him, I can't seem to remember his name).  Because I do not know what he did, it's hard to grade his work, but the furnace is still working!

This company was extremely professional and made sure they had all the proper paperwork prior to starting the work. The owner Paul explained everything to me before it was done. They did the installation properly the unit up off the ground and fixing the duct work that the previous installer had done wrong. Where the previous installer had taken a week and a half to install a faulty unit one year ago, Prevett took only two days to install a new brand new unit and correct the duct work problems and install a better working thermostat. Paul even went the extra mile to make sure I had heat when the temperature got suddenly cold. I am extremely pleased with their service. I would highly recommend this commend this company for Heating and Cooling problems.

Prevett called quickly and scheduled an appointment for an estimate the following day. Paul, the owner of the company, came out and did the estimate. Paul is awesome. He thoroughly explained how ductless systems worked, where they would place the system and how they would install it. I did not want to work with anyone else after our appointment. I received a quote very quickly and it was the best price for the system installed. We scheduled the installation for the following week. Paul was there for the start of the installation to go over every detail with his crew. The guys were great. Very nice guys who seem to like what they do. They do very clean work in s timely. They were polite and respectful of my house. When they left everything was cleaned up. Overall it was a great experience. The package I was sold turned out exactly as Paul said it would. You can't go wrong working with Paul and Prevett Heating & Cooling.

I would recommend Prevett Heating and Cooling to anybody and everybody. They were efficient, courteous, clean, fast and did a superb job. It took less than 2 weeks from the time they came for an estimate to completely finishing the job.

From the very start, the owner Paul Prevett came to my home and reviewed the project with me. Every question asked by my wife and I was asked in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner. I received a quotation within 24 hours. After consideration, I requested a change in the system from a 2-zone to a single zone system based on additional research, and a new quote was sent within 2 days.
   We contracted Prevett to perform the work, which was an all-inclusive package that included plumber, electrical, duct, chimney liner and cap (which was needed because the new furnace was to be vented elsewhere by code, but the existing gas water heater would remain in the chimney requiring a smaller flue. I asked how long the work would take, and I was told about 2 days. I have an elderly person who lives with us and I was concerned with being without heat,
   On April 3 I was advised that the work would begin on Monday April 8. On Firday April 5 my wife received a call in the morning asking if the crew could start that afternoon. We were assured we would not be without heat over the weekend. They began work, performing what they could to prepare for the swap-out. My wife was at home and expressed to me how wonderful and professional the crew that came performed and treated her. We were NOT left without heat and were told they would return at 8:00 AM on Monday April 8.
   On Monday, as promised, they arrived and worked all day, removing the old ductwork, installing the new duct and furnace, and hooking it up to provide heat that night. They returned the following day (Tuesday) at which time the plumber arrived and hard piped the gas line in place. The old furnace and ductwork, as well as remaining incidentals were removed, and the cellar was left exactly as it was prior to their start. Any items that were moved were replaced as found.
   We are VERY impressed with the whole experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend Prevett Heating to anyone for their heating or Air Conditioning needs. If you want great service and consideration, give Paul a call!

Previitt's estimate was slightly higher than the rest but I received overall great quality & service which definately made up for it.
They started the job sooner than expected which pleased me greatly.  ASll has been running well since day one. I would highly recommend them

They were fabulous, professional and clean. They provided a schedule which they stuck to. They promised me that they would leave the house cleaner than they found it and that was absolutely true. They had to do the installation over a very rainy period of time. The work that they would have done out in my drive way had to be done literally in my garage just to keep things dry. They cleaned out my garage. It was almost embarrassing because the garage was so professionally cleaned when they were done. They had used the space by sawing and that sort of thing on the garage floor; they just pulled everything out, cleaned it and put it all back which was unbelievable. I will sing all praises of them and wish they had done something more like construction. My overall experience with them has been good. They have been in business for over 25 years. They are very well established and have a great reputation. If anyone is looking for upgrading or installing an air conditioner in their house I can’t recommend anyone else other than them.
