Everything was fine. The price was reasonable. They were very professional. I needed some estimates which they gave me very quickly.

Overall experience was excellent. Charles is a true professional and communicates well. And, he does so with a very nice manner. Charles came to my home to look at the project and discuss options. I noticed immediately how organized he was which turned out to be an additional plus to the project. The day he put the window in he did so with a process that was seamless and neat. He also did an excellent job of cleaning up once the project was done. All my neighbors remark on how the choice of style and the color of molding fit my house so beautifully. Charles was helpful in giving me options from which to choose. During last winter, one area of the window cracked. Charles came right away to check it out. He then told me about why this had happened and the manufacturer would come to replace. He was right and the manufacturer was timely and pleasant about fixing the issue. I recommend Charles with hesitation.

FHI responded immediately to my request for a quote and provided a very clear summary of the work to be done. I appreciated having a contract drawn up for the work with an outline of the work to be done and the payment schedule. The work was completed in three days, including creating the rough openings, framing, installation, and sealing over one existing window. The house was always left clean at the end of the work day.

Charles and his assistant Doug arrived as planned on the Sunday after Christmas, and worked all day despite an oncoming blizzard. They were both very friendly and professional, and worked non-stop The windows look great. The door installation was complicated and probably fairly unpleasant, but the final product far exceeded our expectations. The old door was a non-standard size and very poorly installed. Rather than insisting on a custom order door, Charles figured out a way to rebuild the door frame so that we could use a standard size steel door and improve the configuration of the door frame at the same time. The new door is not only a lot more attractive and energy efficient, it functions 100 times better than before. To top it off, Charles not only worked over time to get the installation done in time for us to qualify for a tax credit, but also gave a discount because we are Angie's List members. We recommend them without hesitation!

I searched angies list and found three window companies to get prices for the job. I finally settled on FHI Windows and the contractor , Charles Faust. I called called Charles for an estimate and he promptly called back and came out the following week to measure up all the windows I found Charles to be a very fine gentleman and knowledgable about the replacement windows he was selling. He gave me an estimate on the job which was quite reasonable in comparison to the other contractors bid. I called Charles back the following week to bring a sample of his window and the spec sheet which he promptly did. Charles replaced Three single paned windows in a den area which had lead paint. He had to follow the lead safe paint guide lines which required setting up a plastic tent in the interior & exterior of the area being worked on. He was so neat and particular about the removal of the windows that my wife and I were not inconvenienced in any way. The next area was the office in the front the house which needed four drafty windows replaced , I had Charles cut a hole for a fith window. It took Charles and his helper approximately one day to install five triple windows and another day to finish the trim inside and out.Wow what a difference with the triple panes and the extra window. The next job I had Charles perform was to replace the old hollow core doors in the office and an adjacent bathroom with sold pine doors . He also fixed my front door which was out of allignment and replaced weatherstriping on my Anderson sliders in the kitchen. Of all my dealings with contracters and home remodlers I found Charles the best I have ever dealt with. He is prompt, neat ,knowlegeable,honest and does a great job. I would without question recommend Charles Faust to anyone who demands and deserves quality work.

Entire project went well from Charles coming to my home and advising on the project through to completing a messy project and leaving it completely clean. Charles installed the window when he said he would. He and his assistant Josh arrived on time and worked until the project was done. Both men were personable and helpful with suggestions. The communication was great. Both presented themselves as professional and overall nice people. The window looks excellent. It is just what I wanted. All my neighbors have commented on how great it looks and how efficient Charles and Josh seemed to be. I recommend without reservation !!!

On Tuesday, February seventeenth, Charles replaced all windows in my house. He put drop cloths down so he wouldn't damage my carpets. Charles started removing old trim and windows, as he removed them he replaced with new ones so the house wouldn't get cold. Charles insulated them after installing them to prevent drafts. Nailed up new trim made sure they worked fine, then he proceeded with the rest of them. Hours later he was finished, Charles swept his mess and cleaned the new windows. they look excellent!! I am writing this review because he gave me a great deal, he is very professional and also he gave me a discount for writing a review on Angie's List. Charles is a excellent worker and that is why he is busy in times like these, when money is tight.

After being impressed with the windows from the 2 hour Newpro sales pitch but, shocked at the price they estimated for only 14 windows, I found FHI Windows. I received a "No-Hassle" estimate for 16 windows, half the cost of Newpro's estimate. The windows from FHI Windows were triple pane, the same U factor and if not better quality than those from Newpro. Charles Faust, owner, estimator and installer came to the house at the exact time he had given to us over the phone. The craftsmanship was impeccable, he did take longer than I expected to complete the job but, mostly from me being too critical of his work. Charles listened patiently to my comments and stayed on the job site until I was satisfied. After all the windows were installed the house looks great. I am already seeing a cost savings with the triple pane windows, the room stays cooler in the summer and the furnace no longer runs all day during the cold weather. Charles Faust of FHI Windows is one of the rare contractors you will find that places the customer first. I highly recommend him and will consider him for other jobs in the future.
