We started this adventure in the fall of 2015. Before the snow came! Cahill was able to take measurements and work with us on the plan for our landscaping. We worked a lot with Kevin perfecting our virtual plan that would be able to begin as soon as the snow melted! It was fun and easy working with Kevin to design our oasis. And the oasis came out just like we pictured it, if not better!
We love the work Cahill did! And all of his guys were great!

Last year we added some Hydrangea and a tree to our front yard. One harsh winter later and the tree never bloomed for spring. Dan replaced it without any question.
This year we decided to redo our back yard hardscape due to issues with paver separations and weeds. We sent a proposal out to 2 large landscapers and Dan. To our pleasant surprise, Dan hit it out of the park with his proposal and use of software for imaging. We received pencil sketches from the other two behemoth landscapers which are supposed to be expert "engineers" in landscape design. The project follow through, from material selection to where we want garden beds, exceeded our expectations. In addition to great project managment and high quality work, his quote was about 5-10% less than the next highest bid and the warranty longer.

Mowing prices were very reasonable and it took no more than 10 minutes for the team to do the yard.
Spring and Fall cleanup, weed and insect control, fertilization, mulch beds, etc. Garden beds not weeded. I cleaned all beds and picked up much tree debris that were not cleaned up during the summer months.
Plowing services were provided, but I was not happy regarding the damage done to the turf when plowing the snow into the yard. According to their contract, they are not responsible for the damage they cause when doing the plowing. I was okay with that, but when I asked for them to fix the damage at my expense, they did a poor job. They tried to patch up an area, but it did not grow in well as not enough soil was brought in. The seeding was inadequate and when I complained, they said that they would come back, but never did. Some areas were left totally undone.
Their billing policy was difficult. Immediate payments required, or payment in advance. I believe they were changing their billing software. I was upset by the fact that I was being billed for work that they had not yet performed (flowers to be planted sat on my front porch for 2+ months when I got a bill for the planting, which was not yet done.)
I have hired a different landscaping and plowing service.
"Thanks for the feedback. We were a loyal service provider for you for over 2 years and turned your lawn around from nothing to an incredibly green and lush lawn. We also landscaped the beds and provided tree pruning and brightened up the yard impressively. Additional Bed work would be an extra service after the initial spring clean up, weekly maintenance does not include bed clean outs and weeding etc. Although we did provide this at an extra cost a few times and you were very satisfied. Regarding the Plowing, this was the winter of 2012, when we had snow 3 times per week, including a 3 foot blizzard with 6 foot wind drifts, followed by a 2 foot storm a week or two later, with no melting. As you know, there is no where to put the snow in your yard due to trees, so we had to push it on the lawn, and far in enough so that the next storm would not cause issues with snow piles. You asked us repeatedly to fix the lawn, and this was during the spring of 2013 when it rained almost everyday for April, May, and June. We could not complete loam projects, since wet loam is not workable. We did it in July, however grass does not grow well in July so that is the reason for poor growth, watering was also a factor. As you mentioned, we typically do not claim responsibility for plow damage to lawns due to the fact that we must push snow onto lawns, our priority in heavy storms and winters is to get you out of the driveway in the case of an emergency, more weight should be given to the fact that we are always there, on time at 3 to 5am in the morning and we shovel the walk and steps and in front of the garage for free. We do fix 99% of issues in regards to plow damage, as we did with you. BILLING: We have an entire new billing system, with online access for you to view all of your account activity, payments, work complete, etc. real time 24/7. You can make payments by credit card or debit on this system, and sign up for services. We spent about 10k on this system so that customers would never have any billing issues, and they can view concerns 24/7 online, securely. I was unaware that we were supposed to plant flowers that you put on your front steps. I recall pruning there and sending an invoice for the pruning, and possibly planting other shrubs that you requested. My foreman walked through this work with you, were sure to have a foreman there for you, to review everything. He is an expert in plant and shrub management, he may have thought that you wanted to keep the potted plants on the steps for decoration to the steps, as many people do. Given that, we have also hired office management to help with the overwhelming amount of phone calls and emails. We have grown 50% every year for the past 5 years, and have over 600 customers now so we are sure that we are doing everything that we can to make people happy.
