Pioneer Heating & Cooling

I bought a house in 2018 with a heating system they installed. It stopped working and the plumber said it was normal wear and tear. Their office manager gaslighted me about it putting it on me and then when I spoke to the owner he said the same office manager would get back to me and she never did. Terrible.

He showed up immediately, responded quickly, friendly, and informative. He got the parts early, came back, and finished the job. Nice transaction!

These guys were friendly and thorough. They fixed a baseboard pipe but left out a part of the heating loop because they didn’t have the right valves to put it back on board. I stupidly tried to do that myself, messed up, cut off heat to essential parts of the house, and called them at 10pm. They said they’d be out the next day, but because I decided to try to repair my own heating system during the polar vortex, they couldn’t prioritize me. When I called to explain I’d taken the day off work to get it fixed, they sent the service manager, Dan, out. He was able to solve most of the issues, restore heat to working order, and was understanding about me being a diy doofus. Professional all the way around, and my dog liked them. Thanks to Gary, Jeff, and Dan and the reception team.

We had a bad experience with this business and I would never recommend them! The sales man, Nick, was nice at first as he was trying to sell us a new heating system. Later, when we had some problems, he was unresponsive to our calls and also when he came back to the house, he was very rude to me. When they installed the baseboard in the kitchen, we couldn't open our cabinet. After my husband offered a solution, they reinstalled the baseboard but they left the trim molding off and left a hole in our maple floor, which they said they would fix. As well, they ripped up the linoleum in the bathroom when moving the washer. We asked Nick to check out these things and asked if he could offer a discount or any solution, and this is when he acted rude, impatient and condescending.( The one thing he did do is glue down the linoleum but it still looked bad) After the system was installed, we came home to water in the basement. We tried calling Nick but he did not call back. We also called the company for service and we did not get a call back until two days later. They finally came and tried to remedy the problem but the valve continued to leak . So we had to call them back again and wait for service. The one positive thing I will mention is that the owner's son was one of the technicians and he was kind and respectful. Also, I want to say that we are reasonable, kind and fair people who have never written a review before and wouldn't say the above it is wasn't true.

They were very professional, easy to work with and to have doing major installation in our home. There was always good communication about when they were doing, when they were arriving, and answering our questions. This was a large job, because this house had no ductwork to start with and they added the full air handler and ductwork system with ceiling outlets into the attic. The ceiling work looks good and the system does a great job of delivering cool air evenly (which we are very glad to have this summer!). The attic ductwork is also very neat and leaves room to do any vital work in the attic. The system is extremely quiet and was installed with some padding that keeps vibrations off the ceiling; sometimes it is hard to even hear it's on. A problem came up after installation because the system was shutting itself down. They made a huge effort to fix this immediately, involving the service manager, the company owner, and a technician who spent many hours running technical tests and indentifying the glitch. They even provided a whole new piece of major equipment, and all this very quickly. They truly came through on this and it shows they have a great commitment to their customers. If I have any work to do with HVAC, I will definitely call them again.

They had someone at my house the same day to assess the issue. He talked me through my options, from trying to repair the old boiler to replacing it, from the least efficient new option to most efficient, as well as what it would cost to clean up my vents. At no point did I feel like I was getting a hard sell. He also spoke me through financing options. When the technicians came, they were prompt, friendly, and efficient. They left my basement in good condition, and my house toasty warm. The business office was responsive and helpful. In addition to the boiler, they put in a water heater at cost, and provided free support and servicing for one year. I would highly recommend them.

Everything was done in a timely manner, and the clean up was perfect. Very courteous & knowledgeable crew.

They responded quickly to our issue with our leaking hot water heater. Replaced it yesterday. Workers were very professional and courteous. Great, quality job and they were very friendly. Great experience!

We were very pleased with the installation overall. We got a very quick response to our initial call and were given estimates for a couple of options. A date for installation one month later was set up. The installation was completed on time. There was an error in the installation which we called about the next morning and the installers were there within an hour and a half to fix it. Thermostats installed were programmable and we had specified non-programmable; Tim, the company owner, immediately offered to replace them if we wanted. We appreciated the follow-up visit from Tim and the assistance that was provided with the forms for getting a rebate from the state for energy efficiency. Everyone we talked to or worked with was very friendly.

Nick Ruggiano, their primary consultant, was very friendly, knowledgeable and most the important to me, front about what my home needed based on our work through and conversation of what my home needed. He helped me see the valve in the work pioneer recommended. Once I accepted the job office personell Miranda and Stephanie made the paper work so stress tree that looking back on Hall, I wouldn't mild having to do it all again if I were asked to do so. Very professional and warm personalities which facilitated an easy transition to insulation. Mike and Tim were our installers who were above and beyond the most courteous, efficient, . They were and left hardly a for home. Pioneer is  I would  to any one repair  on their heating & cooling needs home.

Nick and his team were wonderful. They walked us through every step of the process, from planning to installation-including the complicated paper work needed for our state's rebated. They were very responsive to our needs even moving our installation date forward so that work could be done before family arrived for Thanksgiving.

From the get-go, Nick Ruggiano, their honcho, was so on top of everything. He showed up the day the furnace died, explained our options, did a thorough assessment of our set-up, and scheduled both installations. Mike and Tim, two of Pioneer's all-star installers, showed up exactly on time, and worked like demons in our horrible 4-foot crawl space for hours. They were so neat, cheerful, and on the job. We now have heat. It's possible the whole thing could conk out for whatever reason, but I trust the company to stand behind their work here. They will return in the spring to finish the testing of the AC system since it was too cold to do so today. I've said this on Angie's List before: If you answer phone calls promptly, show up on time, know your stuff, and are just all-around good people, there is plenty of work for businesses like Pioneer. No, we're not related to them, but I'm old enough to have had lots of work done and know a top-flight business when I see it. These guys are the best!
