L & R CLEANING SERVICES

The man on the crew seemed to speak -- or at least understand -- English, but communications were a problem with the other two. Because he couldn't speak English, I was never completely sure that he understood what I was saying. So, over the years we had a few miscommunications.  For example, on at least one occasion they used the wrong chemicals for the job: clothing stain remover to clean the bathroom. After the last time they cleaned, I hunted everywhere for my camera and couldn't find it for a couple of days.  So, I contacted L&R, thinking that maybe one of the cleaners had seen it.  Or perhaps one of them had picked it up by mistake.  When I called the office to ask about it, the woman said she'd look into it. She then asked the crew, and they said they hadn't seen it. When I found the camera hidden in my home I immediately called L&R to tell them that I had found it. However, a few days later I heard from Luiz, one of the owners. He said that they crew no longer wants to clean our house, because they felt that they had been accused of stealing, and they were insulted. He did acknowledge, however, that the woman answering the phone was inexperienced, and she should have communicated with the crew in a non-accusatory way.  We are now moving on to a new house cleaner. There are lots of them out there!

They are reliable and courteous. They are very thorough.
